What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching?

My number one goal was to become a healthier version of myself- feeling more energized and taking care of myself through nutrition.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal?

Feeling like I didn’t have the time or the resources to tackle overhauling my nutrition habits.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success?

Beth has been incredible in helping me be more accountable with myself, helping me to build healthy habits and make impactful changes in ways that feel manageable and easily integrate into my hectic schedule. She’s positive, encouraging, and reminds me to celebrate my progress.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life?

My progress through nutrition coaching has helped me feel better than I have in a very long time- I’ve felt more energized and able to refocus on new goals with fitness and opportunities pursuing a masters.

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching?

Go for it, just do it. It is genuinely life changing and leaves you feeling like a whole new person.

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching?
My number one goal when I started was weight loss. I really wanted to create healthier habits, feel more confident, and see real changes in my body and energy levels. That was the main motivation that pushed me to begin this journey.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal?
The main thing that kept me from reaching my goal was self-sabotage. I would try, but when I didn’t see results right away, I’d get discouraged and give up.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success?
My coach helped me realize that success isn’t just about the number on the scale, it’s about how I feel. I’ve made so many changes because of that shift. Before, if I overate, I would think, “screw it, I’ve already ruined the day,” which would spiral into a week or even a month. She helped me break that cycle by focusing on getting right back on track, taking little steps, and making small changes that added up. Now I’m building routines and habits, paying attention to my body, and really working on my mindset.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life?
My success has helped me in other areas by teaching me the importance of focus, routine, and consistency. It’s shown me that real change takes time, and that same mindset carries over into other parts of my life. I’m more intentional now about staying focused on my main goals, not just with nutrition but in everything I do.

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching?
My advice would be to focus on creating routine and consistency, and really becoming aware of your choices. Nutrition isn’t just about weight loss, it’s about learning what your body needs and building habits you can stick with. For me, the end result hasn’t been dramatic weight loss yet, but I’ve come a long way. I feel better, my mindset is stronger, and I’m slowly seeing changes all the time.

Our Client of the Month ✨Jules Coffman ✨

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching?
Body recomposition.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal?
I was getting very frustrated that everything which used to work in my 30s & 40s was no longer effective. So I knew I needed help with finding a new approach.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success?
Coach Beth has been amazing in answering my endless list of questions week after week and provided me with the missing piece (knowledge) to finally make progress.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life?
Learning to properly fuel my body for what it needs now has been a complete game changer in class & learning what ‘lifting heavy’ really means. Overall I just feel so much better & physically more capable to push beyond my comfort zone.

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching?
Nutrition coaching is SO much more than just nutrition. It is really an opportunity for one-to-one with a trained professional who can customize a program to help members to complement what they are doing at Cornerstone but it will also help members to reach their goal(s) more efficiently and for the long term.

Congratulations Jules!!!!

✨Client of the Month - Anna H.✨

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching?
I wanted to make better food choices for myself and my family so that I could feel better and know I am fueling my body with what I choose to eat.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal?
Having too many things to think about on a daily basis. I wanted an easy button to help me think through food choices.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success?
Stacey helped me see that I was not getting nearly enough water, protein, or fiber in my diet. In reality, I have made really small changes to the way I plan food, and it is significantly impacting the way I feel! She doesn’t pressure me to weigh food or do other things that feel unrealistic in this hectic phase of life.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life?
I have also increased the amount of movement I do each week and the combination has made me feel so much stronger!

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching?
Do it! Start with small steps and see how those small changes add up over time.

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching? Change habits. I was in a rut for so long that I didn’t think I could ever change those habits. After Covid and the last 4 years working from home, it is easy to live like “Ground Hog” day over and over. Beth really helped me get out of those bad habits and make some positive changes. It was slow and steady, but I feel so much better mentally and physically.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal? My biggest challenge was me. I had to fight those bad habits for many weeks. I didn’t want to change. I wanted to eat and drink the same but see different results and we all know how that turns out. With not pushing myself to do all the changes at once, it helped me psychologically to make the changes. I still want to enjoy life but in a healthier way.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success? Beth is a very positive person. I appreciate that quality. She also does not expect all or nothing. She listens and gives great advice. The fact that she didn’t give me changes and asked what I wanted really made a difference. She is an asset to have on your team.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life? It has helped me to be more motivated with exercise and I feel lighter. I feel like I can have bad days, but it doesn’t have to negate all the good things.

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching? Be open to the change. Make changes that will fit into your daily routines and lifestyle. If you try to go all or nothing, it is a recipe for failure. I felt like with the help of my coach, I was able to see that I don’t have to stop living or feel like I cannot eat what I want, but I can make the changes that will work for me.

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching? To end the yo- yo dieting in my life .  I wanted to learn about nutrition so I will make  healthy choices a habit.  It is very easy to get caught up in the latest weight loss craze. . They don’t work.  It’s a marathon, not a sprint. ☺️.
What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal? The biggest challenge was losing my mom. She passed away in April.  It showed me  how stress, sleep and other factors seriously affect health and overall well being.  It also showed me that this is about progress not perfection.  The scale may fluctuate, but if sleep improves that is a win… losing fat and gaining muscle…. That’s a W… throwing on anything in my closet with confidence is a W…taking care of myself so I can be present for my kiddos, that’s the best W of it all!!!! ❤️
How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life? WOW…. I’d say my energy. I love how much energy I have now… if I want to rest, it’s because I want to, not because I have to , Lol… my time on court is always too short.  I feel I could play/ teach pickleball all day !!!!
It’s a domino effect. This is the best way I can describe it… it doesn’t happen all at once… but all of the sudden, mirrors aren’t bad, reflections are fun and smiles are brighter in photos.  The balance and confidence I feel I have achieved daily is priceless. ❤️.

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching? My primary goal was to achieve fat loss in order to meet the weight requirement for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu match. Specifically, I needed to weigh less than 181.6 lbs while wearing my Gi. This was crucial as the tournament required participants to step on the scale just minutes before their match. When I signed up for the tournament, I weighed nearly 200 lbs.

What was your biggest challenge keeping you from achieving that goal? Balancing family life with my nutrition goals was a significant challenge. With two young children, aged five and two, it was difficult to avoid all the fun snacks and treats.

In what ways has your coach impacted your success? Krista, also known as Coach K, has been an invaluable part of my journey. She went above and beyond to understand my goals, getting to know me, my family, my lifestyle, hobbies, and preferences. Krista seamlessly integrated into our lives, earning the affectionate title of “Auntie K” from my family. She helped me plan meal plans that were family-friendly, set achievable weekly goals, and provided the tough love needed when I was slacking.
One of the most impactful aspects of her coaching was her ability to work with my lifestyle rather than against it.

What was your number one goal when you started nutrition coaching?
When I started working with Hannah I was one week into 75 Hard. My goal for 75 Hard was not necessarily to see how much weight I could lose, but to re-establish healthy habits and eating with intention to help get the mental and physical outcome I wanted. I wanted help with nutrition to maximize the progress I would have during those 75 days, but also to help jumpstart and reset the foundation for day 76 and beyond.

How has your success empowered you in other areas of your life?
During 75 Hard, my boys saw me drinking all the water, being intentional with food, and going for walks or whatever the outdoor workout that day was. They became interested, started asking to go to the park or on walks with me, and asking about food choices. Having their engagement and being able to teach them about nutrition created a different type of bonding experience for us. It has been so fun to share these successes with them and support them in their new found interest in nutrition.

What advice do you have for someone considering nutrition coaching?
DO IT! I have always been a gym girl who loves to work out, but it wasn’t until I learned more about nutrition and started working with a nutrition coach to really see results I wanted…not only physically but mentally as well. It really is nutrition that makes all the difference.

Congratulations on all your accomplishments!!

Our Coach Krista with a HUGE client win today!!!

“After meeting today checking in for nutrition, I walked Lea out to the main gym floor and handed her a 25lb plate…. She looked at me and said “WHOA, that is HEAVY, what are we doing?”
I told her “imagine how it would feel if I asked you to carry it around every day and night, without setting it down…. THIS IS THE WEIGHT YOU HAVE LOST!

*insert goosebumps, teary eyed smiles, praise from surrounding people overhearing, and a proud coach/client moment knowing the value of our journey is equal for us both!*

I am so proud of Lea, and love that we can set this weight right back in the rack and walk away with it knowing the gift of health from the inside out.”
