Parents.... how are you faring in the home stretch of summer? While we had a blast, and I'm OFFICIALLY running on fumes, between caring for my active toddler, running my business, managing the house, and trying to squeeze in self-care and sleep. Thank goodness school starts next week! I've already booked a few wellness appointments, from acupuncture and chiropractic, to craniosacral and massage. I'm fried and my body is making it crystal clear with migraines, weird back pain, insomnia and anxiety - basically screaming at me that I need to prioritize self-care NOW.
If you're feeling the same burnout, I urge you to take the time to truly care for yourself-- block your schedule for an hour to DO NOTHING and relax. I'm also here to support you with hands-on healing, plus a listening ear for your issues and a beautiful clean, clear quiet space to relax in.
Fun fact: acupuncture reduces stress and anxiety by regulating the nervous system, stimulating endogenous opioids and serotonin, and calming that fight-or-flight response we parents know all too well (and we need it - 33% of parents report high stress levels compared to just 20% of other adults).
