It’s the December post. {I’ve decided I’ll do these once per month}
Today I am sharing a homemade, refined sugar free Mushroom Hot Chocolate recipe. Medicinal mushrooms are amazing immune modulators & adaptogens (help the body adapt to stress). My favorite of the group is currently Reishi Mushroom, which I use in this recipe. I love hot chocolate and this is a fun way to get these immune modulating, stress busting benefits in a guilt free treat. Recipe to follow makes a bulk amount. Store in a glass jar for yourself or package in small jars for gifts.
Recipe: Add all of the following to a large bowl, mix well, and add to a storage container(s). Add 2 heaping tablespoons to your steamed milk of choice.
- 2 1/4 cup raw cacao powder (can sun cocoa powder)
- 1.5 cup coconut sugar (less sweet/bitter) OR 3 cup coconut sugar (sweeter)
- 3/4 cup organic Reishi mushroom powder
- 4.5 teaspoons organic vanilla powder
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Hi! I am missing all of you. I figured that while I can’t have my shop open, I can certainly serve you all in other ways. After all, knowledge is power in itself. So, I will be starting with you all, here and on my personal page.
I’ll start off with a super easy, nourishing recipe for fermented garlic honey. I shared this one last year, too ✨.
Garlic has been studied for its antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiparasitic, antiviral properties (and more). Fermenting or making garlic honey ahead of time for the season provides you with a palatable antibacterial agent, ready to go when needed. Take a spoonful straight, add it to buttered toast as a garlic honey topping, or add a dash in your tea when needed. To make, use fresh garlic cloves, cut in half and add to a clean jar and cover with raw, local honey. Cover and let sit for 2-4 weeks and stir occasionally. I like to remove the garlic at this point, but some will leave it in there. This will store well in a cool place for the winter months.

Hello to my dear customers! I wanted to give an update on my business. We are still without a new home & in our temporary living place. Market is tough right now for buyers and homes get into bidding wars, go for more than they’re worth, or go under contract so quickly.
Here’s what this means. For the time being, I do not have a space to make product. All of my items are in a temp controlled storage unit. I am looking into a few temporary options for this, but at the moment my business is still on hold.
Since I have had a few faithful customers ask, if I cannot secure a space to make items temporarily, I will find a local maker I trust to refer you to until I can get back to business.
On a positive note, this gives me time for some website updates, product decisions, branding updates, and information prep to better serve you!
I am so so grateful for all of you!
P.S. if you know any local makers, will you either send them to me via messenger or tag them in the comments so I can look into them. ❤️

Broken Tibia & moving has kept me quiet here. We’re all moved out from our home and have not found a new home yet. Until we know what city we will land in, my Herbal business is all packed into a temperature controlled storage unit. I’m hoping to be able to reopen soon and I will keep you posted with details about where and when as they come 💕

My face routine:
- Herbal Infused Charcoal Goat’s Milk Soap (ours + fan favorite + restocking today 😍) rotated with a few times per week
- Herbal Glow Face Serum (ours + fan favorite) or Blue Chamomile Face Lotion (ours; currently being reformulated)
- Herbal Caffeine Eye Roller for those dark circles (ours, running low on stock)
That’s it. For real. It’s all I use with a rare occasional Manuka honey face massage.

SALE! My family is going to be moving soon (in the area) & I hope to be moving into a new studio space at the same time 🙏... SO that means I am going to clear out as much of my existing stock as possible to make the process easier.
Starting Thursday this week, everything on the site will be at least 15% off. Some things will go up to 50%. All items will be marked accordingly, no discount code needed. This will run until I have cleared out enough stock or we are ready to move.

Guess what’s curing?! My dad has officially taken over the goats milk soap making for Midwest Family Herbalist which means more soap will be available at a steady stream. I know lots of you have asked for the charcoal goats milk soap so I had him make that one first :).
Batch will be fully cured and ready for purchase less than 4 weeks.

It’s dandelion season. I can’t let this pass without saying please bee ( 🐝) patient. Dandelions are an essential food source for bees when they wake from their winter hibernation. Leaving your dandelions at least long enough for bees to get their initial food source will help support the bee population. Since bees are an essential part of the ecosystem and directly impact us as humans, this is critical. Together, we can support a healthy ecosystem. Leave your dandy’s in your yards, at least for a little while 😉. We can do this 💪🐝
