We are pleased to announce our December Employee of the Month!

Congratulations to Brandy Morejon, MHT! Brandy's nomination is extra special as she was nominated by a patient. "She made me laugh and feel better about the way I see things and she is definitely one of the best people I have ever met. I appreciate her so much for everything she did."

Thank you Brandy for your lasting impact in the healing journey of our patients!

Please join us in celebrating Heather Stanley, LPN, our 2025 Employee of the Year!

For nearly a decade, Heather has been a steady, compassionate presence at Three Rivers, consistently going above and beyond for both her patients and her colleagues. She was selected for this honor because of her unwavering commitement to providing excellent care and her genuine dedication to helping patients feel supporteed, safe, and on the road to recovery. Heather is deeply involved in our organization, serving as a preceptor for both RNs and LPNs, training new nurses on the unit and in the med room, and playing an active role in skills fair yearly check-offs. She also serves on our Service Excellence Committee, has prior experience on the Staff Advisory Council, and is heavily involved with the DAISY Award, including serving on its board. Heather exemplifies what it means to be an exceptional nurse, teammate, and leader.

We are incredibly grateful for her nearly ten years of service and the lasting impact she continues to make every day. Congratulations, Heather and thank you for all that you do!

We have great news!

Our outpatient counselor, Maria Ferrand Johnson, wrote a book!

"We spend our lives looking outward- toward people, approval, goals, or achievements- hoping they will reflect back our worth. Yet true transformation begins when you dare to look inward, when you meet the eyes staring back at you in the mirror they whisper, "I'm still here."

This book is an invitation to do just that: to pause, breathe, and turn toward your own reflection with honesty and compassion.

What an incredible accomplishment, Maria! We know so many will heal and benefit from this book.

January is Substance Use Disorder Treatment Awareness Month!

Starting a new year is the perfect time for this recognition. Rebekah, our Chemical Dependency IOP Counselor shared this about treatment: Recovery is for anyone, and there is not one single path for everyone to take. It can be a winding road with diverse obstacles in our path, but we walk through it together, one step at a time. It is not about the destination, but the journey, as it is in the moments that make it all worthwhile. In CD-IOP, we want to walk this journey out with you, no matter if it's your first step or not. We collaborate on topics about substance use and mental health recovery (i.e. depression, anxiety, etc.) because it is not just about getting sober. It is about choosing yourself every day, one day at a time.

If you are ready to start this journey for yourself, contact us today so we can walk it with you! https://bit.ly/4bBxqAp

Our team had an amazing time at yesterday’s USC Men’s Basketball game! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with so many families in the community as they kicked off their holiday week. A special highlight: our CEO, Shannon Marcus, received the game ball and shared valuable tips for staying mentally well during the holidays in a halftime radio interview.
