At The Pines, we believe engagement isn’t just an activity… it’s a lifestyle ❤️

Yesterday was a perfect reflection of that.

We kicked things off with daily exercise followed by healthy green smoothies alongside Medina Gonzalez from MSA Home Health & Hospice —because taking care of our bodies matters just as much as anything else. 🥬💚

Then we tapped into our creative side, painting canvas totes filled with personality, laughter, and a whole lot of joy. 🎨

And of course, we made space for what truly grounds us — Bible Study and meaningful group conversations that nurture connection, faith, and the heart. ✨

At The Pines, we stay active and engaged in every way that matters:
✔️ Physically
✔️ Mentally
✔️ Emotionally
✔️ Spiritually

Because this season of life isn’t about slowing down… it’s about living fully. 💫

Sometimes the simplest things create the most fun!

And today at The Pines at Columbia, a few pool noodles turned into a whole lot of exercise and laughter. 💪😊

Our residents gathered for a pool noodle exercise class, working on strength, flexibility, and coordination, all while keeping things lighthearted and social.

Pool noodles are perfect for gentle resistance, balance work, and stretching, making them a great tool for safe, effective movement.

But the best part wasn’t just the exercise… it was the smiles, the cheering each other on, and the joy of moving together.

Staying active doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes all it takes is a little creativity, a great group of friends, and a pool noodle.

At The Pines, we believe wellness should be engaging, accessible, and fun at every stage of life.

Today at The Pines at Columbia, our residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of pampering, laughter, and self-care thanks to Raven Hardy with Mary Kay.

Raven spent time with our ladies sharing simple skincare tips, hand treatments, and a little touch of color... proving that self-care isn’t about age… it’s about how you feel.

There is something special that happens when friends gather around a table, try something new, and remind each other that taking care of ourselves matters at every stage of life.

Our residents left smiling, glowing, and feeling just a little extra fabulous.

Thank you, Raven, for bringing your time, kindness, and expertise to our community.

We love partnering with local professionals who help make life here vibrant and fun!

Because at The Pines, wellness isn’t just about care, it’s about confidence, connection, and joy!

✨ Interested in partnering with our community for an event? We’d love to hear from you!

Today we’re wishing Lori a very fond farewell as she begins an exciting new chapter in Ohio.

While we’re certainly sad to see her go, it’s hard not to smile knowing the reason behind the move.

Lori is heading home to be closer to her family, and most importantly, to watch her grandson grow up.

And if there’s one thing we all understand, it’s that moments with grandkids are the ones you never want to miss!

Lori has been such a wonderful part of our community. Her kindness, dedication, and steady presence have meant a lot to both residents and team members alike. She leaves behind big shoes to fill and many people who will miss her.

But this next chapter is a beautiful one, full of family dinners, school programs, little league games, and the everyday moments that turn into the best memories.

Lori, thank you for everything you’ve given here.

We wish you so much happiness in Ohio and can’t wait to see all the wonderful adventures this new season brings.

Congratulations and safe travels. ❤️

Sometimes the smallest moments remind us why innovation in care matters so much.

Just now a resident’s daughter made the decision to sign up for our new Sage Monitoring System after a difficult experience.

Her mom had gotten up during the early morning hours to use the restroom and accidentally left her emergency pendant on the bedside table.

After a fall, she was unable to reach the secondary emergency push buttons in the room.

Thankfully she is okay! But the situation was a powerful reminder of how quickly things can happen.

Had the Sage camera monitoring system been active at the time (we officially go live April 1st), our team would have been alerted immediately so staff could respond right away.

This is exactly why The Pines at Columbia has invested in this incredible technology... to add another layer of safety and reassurance for our residents and their families.

For just $50 per month, families can have an extra level of monitoring and complete peace of mind, knowing that help can be alerted the moment it’s needed.

Because caring for our residents means always looking for better ways to keep them safe. ❤️

If you would like to sign up for the Early-Bird pricing plan please reach out to our team.

We would be happy to answer any questions.

We hope to see you tonight!

Yesterday evening we had the honor of attending the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kick-Off, hosted by Walk Director Mark Ward, and it was a powerful reminder of why this cause matters so deeply to all of us at The Pines at Columbia.

Every day in senior living, we see firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia have on individuals and the families who love them.

Behind every diagnosis is a person with a story! A mother, a father, a spouse, a friend.

Supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer’s is one way we stand with those families and work toward a future with better treatments, better support, and ultimately, a cure.

Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association make a real difference. They help fund critical research to advance treatments, provide support groups and resources for caregivers, offer education for families navigating a diagnosis, and power the 24/7 helpline that so many people rely on during difficult moments.

At The Pines at Columbia, we are proud to walk alongside our residents, families, and community partners in this fight.

Every step taken and every dollar donated brings us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.

If you’d like to join us in supporting this mission, stay tuned for ways you can walk with our team The Pines FunRaisers, or make a donation.

💜 Together, we can make a difference.
