On Sunday, May 10, SC Presbyterian congregations will, for the 72nd consecutive year, receive an offering each Mother’s Day to support charitable care for residents of Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina who, after an extended time in residence and through no fault of their own, need financial assistance to continue meeting their financial obligations. Each year, gifts received from our donors and supporters provide approximately $1 million in charitable care support for our residents needing assistance. We had a wonderful opportunity to connect with the graduating nurses at South University’s Columbia campus! 🎓🩺 These future RNs are ready to take the next exciting step in their careers, and we were excited to share what makes nursing at Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina so special.

During our time together, we highlighted our supportive nursing environment, discussed how our teams work together to deliver exceptional care to our residents, and shared details about our educational partnership with South University as well as the amazing rewards and benefits available to our nurses.

We enjoyed sharing insights into the RN journey and hope to have the opportunity to welcome some of these talented graduates into the PCSC family one day. 💙

More than 30 PCSC team members had the opportunity to participate in the 12-hour Montessori for Aging & Dementia class with trainer Mandy Cheskis from . Participants learned the foundational components of Montessori philosophy and engaged in practical activities to familiarize themselves with using Montessori materials and engaging residents with memory impairments.
