We fully understand how today's busy lifestyles can make scheduling even the simplest of medical tests very challenging, and that's why we've created Lab Tests On Demand, a patient requested & doctor ordered laboratory testing service. Lab Tests On Demand allows patients to self-order some laboratory tests without going through the full processing time usually associated with a physician office, emergency department or hospital appointment. Patients can choose from a menu of laboratory tests that are performed in one of Lexington Medical Center's Laboratories, under physician (pathologist) direction, with fully accredited, quality-controlled procedures. In order to offer the lower prices by this service, payment (cash, credit card, check) is required at the time that you come for testing (we do not file any insurance...but you may file your own; if the testing was considered "medically necessary", you may be able to file with your insurance to at least let the cost go against your deductible). If your desired test is not ordered by your doctor, the LMC laboratory physician specialists (Pathology Associates of Lexington, P.A.) serve as the "ordering physician" for the pre-approved test menu and will interpret test results when appropriate. In most cases, test results are available by the next weekday, allowing patients to rapidly accelerate their medical experience.
