The Macula Vision Research Foundation (MVRF), is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to curing macular degeneration and related retinal diseases. This devastating disease is expected to dramatically increase over the next decade, impacting millions of Americans. An impaired macula causes a person to lose his/her central vision, creating a blind spot. This prevents a person from
clearly seeing objects straight ahead; such as faces of people they love, words on a page, a checkbook, the ability to drive… limiting independence.
