❤️ Forgiveness is Self-love.

It may not be easy but it is necessary. Learning from our mistakes does not mean reliving them constantly or punishing yourself repeatedly. Forgiving yourself is giving yourself the opportunity to do better, be better.

💗Today I did a ritual I like to do when I have a hard time letting go of my mistakes. It helps me have closure while also creating hope for what moving forward will feel like.

⏳One step at a time. One act at a time. One day at a time. I don’t know if y’all can identify but I can be impatient with growth. I want to get to where I want to be ASAP but in the process end up overwhelming myself or becoming too judgmental.

❤️ So my act of self-love today is to be patient and slow down with myself. I chose something small but special. I lit a candle and put up a reed diffuser with a new scent I really enjoy. I just wanted the spaces I would be in today to smell relaxing. It’s helped because I have noticed myself smile whenever I enter these spaces. ❤️

You Deserve Love. Self-Love. It’s so easy to lose sight of all the amazing things our body and mind do for us everyday. All the little things that happen to keep you going and moving.

In honor of the month of Love, I will be intentional about showing Love to this version of myself everyday this month. Join me because you deserve it!

Today I showed myself love by sitting still and reminding myself of all the beautiful things in my life, however small. How will you show yourself love?
