🚛 FMCSA Update: Temporary Waiver for Paper Medical Certificates

Attention DOT Drivers and Employers!
The FMCSA has announced a temporary waiver allowing the continued use of paper copies of medical examiner’s certificates as valid proof of medical certification.

This means:
✅ CDL and CLP holders can still use paper certificates for up to 60 days after issuance.
✅ Medical examiners will continue submitting results electronically via the NRCME system and provide drivers with a paper copy to carry.
✅ This waiver remains in effect through October 12, 2025.
