Did you know that every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood? Last week, we partnered with LifeServe Blood Center to host an employee blood drive — and thanks to the generosity of our TIC volunteers, we were able to help save or sustain up to 30 lives! ❤️
The blood collected will support hospitals across the Midwest, including facilities like Methodist Medical Center, where many of our physicians care for patients every day.

Next month, we'll climb alongside local fire and police at the ALA Fight for Air Climb to support lung health, raise awareness, and help fund lifesaving research and programs for those affected by lung disease. Join us in the climb or learn how you can support: https://bit.ly/4cmhKBH

The Iowa Clinic was proud to sponsor Can Play's Courage on the Court, a wheelchair basketball tournament that raises funds for adaptive recreation programs and removes barriers to play in our community. A big shoutout to both of our teams — the Roll Models and the PT Cruisers — for representing TIC and bringing energy, teamwork, and heart to the court. 🏀 💙

As GLP-1 medications continue to shape the weight loss conversation, plastic surgeon Dr. Catherine joined The Waukee Podcast to share insight on what patients may experience after significant weight loss. From restoring comfort to rebuilding confidence, she discusses how personalized body contouring can support patients in their next chapter.
This week on The Waukee Podcast, Leisa Fox talks confidence, cookies, and caring for your body in every season of life.
First up, Rachel Reddin of Caspie’s Cookies joins us to share her journey as a business owner, model for Harlow & James, and a woman who has learned to truly embrace her post-pregnancy body. Her story is honest, empowering, and a reminder that confidence doesn’t come from fitting a mold — it comes from owning who you are. (And yes… we talk about those gorgeous, buttercream-frosted cookies too.)
Then we sit down with Dr. Catherine Coyne, fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with The Iowa Clinic, to discuss the growing conversation around GLP-1 medications and what happens after significant weight loss. She walks us through real options for body contouring, how to think about post-GLP-1 changes, and what patient-centered care really looks like.
It’s a thoughtful, balanced conversation about body image, health, and self-confidence — from loving the skin you’re in to understanding the tools available if you want change.
Plus, Jamie Morrow Thompson is back with What’s Up Waukee to get you ready for the weekend!

The Iowa Clinic, P.C. was formed in 1994. Today we are the largest physician owned multi-specialty group in Central Iowa with more than 250 physicians and healthcare providers practicing in 40+ specialties.
Here at The Iowa Clinic, we don’t see patients…we see mothers, daughters, fathers, sons and friends. Our physicians and staff are committed to meeting and exceeding your expectations while providing healthcare services of the highest quality. We are not satisfied with anything less.
Our primary location is a 170,000 square foot state of the art medical facility located in Wes Des Moines. We have 7 other clinic sites throughout the Des Moines Metropolitan area as well as numerous outreach clinics in rural areas. Our population base is 1.1 million patients averaging 420,000 visits per year.
Physician Owned & Independent
We are locally owned by doctors living and working in the communities we serve. Why does this matter? Because decisions about patient care are determined by you and your physician, not a larger corporate entity. Independence and control of patient care brought us together in 1994, and it’s what keeps us together today.
