We are excited to welcome Copper, a new patient, who is one month post-back surgery.

In this video we're using a technique called 'strike a match,' an exercise designed to retrain muscle memory in his hind limbs. Additionally, we incorporate a sensory mat to provide real-time feedback to his nervous system about foot placement and activity, aiding in his recovery process.

February is National Heart Month — and that includes our pets, too! 🐶🐱

Just like humans, dogs and cats have hearts that work hard every single day to keep them healthy, active, and full of love. Heart disease can affect pets of all ages and breeds, and many times the early signs are easy to miss.

🫀 Common signs of heart issues in pets may include:
• Coughing or trouble breathing
• Fatigue or decreased activity
• Rapid or labored breathing
• Loss of appetite or weight loss

If you have questions or concerns about your pet’s heart health, we’re always here to help.

February is Spay & Neuter Awareness Month 🐾

Spaying or neutering your pets is one of the most important things you can do — not just to prevent unwanted litters, but to protect their health and support our entire community. Fixed pets are also less likely to roam, get lost, or contribute to shelter overcrowding and every surgery helps more animals find loving homes.

Every pet is different, so it’s important to ask your veterinarian about the ideal time to spay your pet. We can recommend the safest and most appropriate timing based on your pet’s age, breed, and development.

We are so excited to announce that we recently passed another evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association, which means we have been AAHA-accredited for 12 years. Only about 15% of veterinary hospitals carry this accreditation, so we are very proud to be one of them. Look for the red-and-white AAHA logo next time you visit.

When you choose an AAHA-accredited hospital, you’re selecting a practice that has made your companion’s wellbeing their central mission. The American Animal Hospital Association’s rigorous accreditation process—undertaken by fewer than 5,000 veterinary hospitals across North America—creates an environment where your pet’s individual needs become the focal point of all care decisions.
This voluntary commitment fundamentally changes how veterinary teams interact with your pet. The comprehensive AAHA standards create a foundation that enables veterinary professionals to transcend basic medical treatment. Instead of simply addressing symptoms, AAHA-accredited teams develop a deeper understanding of each animal’s unique personality, preferences, and health profile.
During visits, your pet receives truly individualized attention where their comfort is prioritized at every step. From the moment they enter the practice, staff members are attentive to signs of stress or anxiety, adapting their approach accordingly. Diagnostic procedures and treatments are conducted with your pet’s emotional wellbeing in mind, not just their physical health.

This patient-centered philosophy extends to your experience as well. AAHA-accredited practices provide comprehensive information, clear options, and compassionate support throughout your pet’s life journey. When difficult decisions arise, you can trust that recommendations reflect a genuine dedication to your pet’s quality of life and your peace of mind.
