I need to be transparent for a minute. I've been working with a shoulder injury for a couple of weeks now. Unfortunately I continued to add clients onto my already full weeks and was not listening to my body. This is not the first time I've injured myself working and I'm sure it won't be the last, but I need to start making some changes. I've been in this field for 13 years now with a goal to make it to 20. That's not realistic if I keep up this pace. There's a reason many massage therapists retire from this industry after only a few years. Your body takes a lot of abuse to help others. Most of the time when I text one of you on my cancelation list, I didn't actually have a cancelation. I just added you onto a full day of work. This is my own doing and I realize that, but I won't be able to going forward which means not all of you will be able to come in as regularly anymore. I would never be offended if any of you chose to see other massage therapists. I highly encourage it! Each one of us has our own technique and set of skills to help you. Please know that I appreciate all of you who support my business. I just ask for patience and understanding as I try to figure out how to make my career last as long as possible because I'm not ready to be done 💜
