Did you guys know that we are hardwired for touch? Our sense of touch is the first of our senses to develop as a baby and our last to fade away as we age.

We have over 5 million touch receptors in our skin. On just one fingertip, you have over 3,000 touch receptors! How cool is that!

Have struggles breathing? Not sure why? Well there can be many different factors in that like a medical condition but it could also be simply your neck muscles! Your neck posture and neck strength is just as important as the rest of your body!

The following muscles work accordingly with breathing. When they are weak, compromised, not activated, injury related, scar tissue, etc. it’ll make things much harder, such as your breathing.

-Infrahyoids: Four muscles below your hyoid bone that move your larynx (voice box) up and down.
-Scalenes: Three muscles that move your first two ribs up and down so you can inhale air when you breathe. They also help move the head and stabilize the cervical vertebrae (bones in your neck).
-Sternocleidomastoid: Assists the external and internal intercostals in breathing.
-Trapezius: Assists the sternocleidomastoid and scalene muscles in breathing.

Did you guys know??

That pruning of the skin is a neurological response of the body specifically hands/fingers, feet/toes when wet? Our skin prunes as away to create stability when in moist/wet conditions/environment! In other words so we don’t fall, slip, and can grip/grab!

Good afternoon!!

I have recently been getting a lot of people contacting me, asking if I do mobile massages. As apparently when looking up who does mobile massages in the area, my business shows up. I’m not sure how or why my business listing shows up on that list.

With that, I wanted to make it clear that I do not offer any kind of mobile massage services. I’m sure that would be a nice and convenient option for many people. But Maryah’s Massage does not offer this service.

If you are wanting a massage by me you will have to make an appointment and come to my studio for it.

Hey everyone!! I hope you are all doing well. It appears it’s starting to finally get cold out and seems to be staying that way.

With that also brings the cold and flu season! We also can’t forget the icky Covid too. With that being said, if you happen to wake up not feeling well, sore throat, warmer than usual, fatigue, etc. or it even hits in the middle of the day. Please don’t feel bad about having to cancel your massage! That’s the glorious thing about being able to reschedule. Getting a massage when you aren’t feeling well just isn’t a good idea and doesn’t really help you in the long run!

It also puts me at risk if you possibly do having something you aren’t sure is contagious or not! Please don’t ever feel bad about having to reschedule. I know it’s a bummer especially when you’re looking forward to it and need it. But I promise you’ll enjoy it better when not sick! And it’s safer for us both. I want us all to be healthy, happy, and safe!!

Fridays- 2x a month 10am-6pm
- 2x a month 10am-2pm
Saturdays- Open 2x a month from 9am-1pm
Sundays- CLOSED

Updated pricing will take in effect immediately
- For current and new/future clients.
Whether you have been a long time client, a regular client within the last 2 years, or new/future client, will be charged the same rates. Which is as follows:
30 minutes- $55.00
60 minutes- $80.00
90 minutes- $110.00
120 minutes - $150.00
-if paying cash you get a $5 discount! Only applies to individual paid sessions, so day of scheduled treatment.

Package offered- buy 2 massages and receive a dollar amount off. I will make a more detailed post about this next!
