On Call For Emergencies After Hours

SIEC is operating during normal business hours this week, but will be CLOSED on Friday in observance of Independence Day, and will resume regular business hours on Saturday. We hope that all of our equestrian family and friends have an enjoyable and safe holiday.

Our family is PROUD of the American flag and will always respect and salute its honor. 🇺🇸

As always, we are on call after hours and for emergencies, should you need us!

We enjoyed a misty mountain morning at the 89th Annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Bald K**b Cross of Peace. We hope all of our equine clients and friends have had a great Easter Sunday. HE IS RISEN!

10 years ago today Dr. Griffin signed the contract to purchase Southern Illinois Equine Clinic - Richard L. Griffin MS DVM. He took a chance on a BIG dream when we moved to Southern Illinois and here he is running the roads on ambulatory calls all day, and some nights, this time of year. I know he has to be exhausted being a one man show (he has no other veterinarian or veterinarian technician in our practice), but he never complains about it and keeps on keepin’ on with a smile.

Of course, we couldn’t do this without our wonderful equine clients, friends and family. Thank you for your loyalty, support and trusting us to take care of your horses for the past decade.

Here’s to another decade of SIEC! 1️⃣0️⃣♥️🐎

We will be open regular business hours for the next couple of weeks with a few exceptions listed below:

OPEN Tuesday, December 24th, until Noon in observance of Christmas Eve.

CLOSED Wednesday, December 25th, in observance of Christmas Day.

OPEN Tuesday, December 31, until Noon in observance of New Year’s Eve.

CLOSED Wednesday, January 1st, in observance of New Year’s Day.

First day of meetings at the AAEP 70th Annual Convention & Trade Show and my dedicated shoppers have already made their rounds on the Trade Show floor. In the words of my daughter, “This is the best day ever!” 💚🐎🌴

Dr. Griffin had the opportunity to spend some hot days and nights at the race track this week for the DuQuoin State Fair harness racing. 🎡🐎 SIEC will be open Saturday, 8AM until Noon, and will be CLOSED on Monday in observance of Labor Day. We hope that all of our equestrian friends and family have an enjoyable and safe holiday weekend.
