Why are we all obsessed with cats?
Last week, John and I went to the sold-out Cat Video Fest in Hartford, and it hit me- cats are more than just pets. They’re furry meditation teachers.

In about a year, we lost two of our cats, and now it’s just Milo. He and I had to learn how to reconnect. He follows me from room to room, sits with me outside, and reminds me of something simple but profound: presence matters.

Cats show us that love doesn’t always have to be loud (though it can be—especially at 4 am!). Sometimes it’s about witnessing each other- being quietly seen, quietly valued. Sometimes the deepest bond is found in silence, in simply existing side by side.

Maybe that’s why we love them so much, because in their stillness, they remind us that quiet is a state of bliss.

✨ Grounded in Light ✨
The sadness in the world can feel overwhelming at times. I’ve learned that I need to steady myself every day before I can offer anything to others.

That’s why I created Grounded in Light - a meditation drawn from my years of leading live global healing sessions on Insight Timer. It’s a way to release what we’ve taken in, restore peace, and reconnect with our own inner strength.

This practice begins with Reiki and imagery, expanding outward to send light to all who may need it. My hope is that it offers you a moment of calm and replenishment, so you can bring your best self forward for your life and for the greater good.

Two Reiki Level 1 classes this weekend—one virtual, one in person—and both reminded me why I do this work.

Reiki attunements land so deeply, even online. I’m in awe of this practice and grateful to my students for their trust.
�Teaching Reiki feels like coming home. Years ago I never imagined I’d teach—especially online—but here I am, aligned and energized.
