During the summer the number of significant traumas increases. On July 1, AMR responded to a stabbing with serious injury. Because of the response of these 2 crews, the patient received prompt care both BLS and ALS, rapid transport and pre-hospital whole blood. We recognize that our providers are amongst the best in the state and are proud to recognize the excellent care they provide to those in need.

Today, Governor Lamont signed legislation establishing Connecticut’s Fallen Hero Fund, a meaningful step forward in supporting the families of public safety professionals who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The fund provides a $100,000 non-taxable benefit and extended health coverage for the surviving families of police, fire, and EMS personnel lost in the line of duty.

We stand in support of our fellow first responders and their families. We understand the sacrifices, the courage, and the silent weight carried with each call. The Fallen Hero Fund is more than a gesture,it’s a powerful symbol of the deep respect and lasting gratitude these heroes and their loved ones have earned.

We acknowledged our providers and fellow first responders during EMS week for their collaborative efforts in saving lives. Recipients of the code save award successfully participated in prehospital resuscitations that resulted in patients being discharged from the hospital neurologically intact. Our operation had 14 saves in 2024 where patients were discharged neurologically intact. Well done!
