Congratulations to The McAuley, THSC's Life Plan Community in West Hartford, Connecticut, on its win for "Best Independent/Assisted Living Community in West Hartford" at last night's Best of West Hartford Awards Ceremony! The McAuley has placed in the top three of this category for 11 consecutive years, and Executive Director Susan Gillanders (center,) Sales Director Elizabeth Johnson (right,) and Marketing Coordinator Anabela Ferreira were VERY proud to take receipt of the award on behalf of their amazing team!

On November 12, Saint Mary Home -- THSC's skilled nursing community in West Hartford, CT -- celebrated being the home of this quarter's DAISY Award Winner! Licensed Practical Nurse Janet Morttey was selected as an "extraordinary nurse" based on her strong work ethic, genuine care for her residents, and consistent "can-do" attitude. At the Award Ceremony, Ingrid Montanez, LPN, and seven other clinical caregivers were recognized as Saint Mary Home DAISY Award nominees for the past quarter.

Our Story

The Mercy Community is West Hartford’s Only Life Plan Community. It includes Saint Mary Home, Connecticut’s oldest continuously-operating skilled nursing facility, and The McAuley, which offers independent and assisted living options for seniors. Our mission states: “We, The Mercy Community and Trinity Health, serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. Believing in the intrinsic dignity of all persons, we uphold the universal right to holistic care, promote the common good, respond to the needs of the human body and spirit, and inspire hope and confidence on life’s journey.”
