Holiday travel is where weight-loss goals can quietly fall apart. Long drives, packed schedules, and fast-food exits every few miles make it easy to say “just this once” and suddenly you’re off track for days. Planning ahead is what keeps momentum.

A road-trip emergency food kit is non-negotiable. It keeps hunger controlled and decisions intentional so fast food isn’t the default.

Food suggestions :
• Low-sugar jerky and turkey slices
• Low sugar protein shakes & drinks
• Protein bars and protein chips
• single-serve hummus with veggies

Happy Christmas Eve! I actually love making holiday cookies after Christmas, when I can finally relax and enjoy them. Here are 5 simple, realistic tips to maintain weight loss during Christmas week:

1. Anchor your meals with protein and fiber so blood sugar stays steady and you don't over-eat. Build your plates at family gatherings with protein choices first.
2. Keep your normal routine as much as possible.. even short workouts or a walk with family members count.
3. Choose your treats intentionally instead of grazing all day. Take a few extra minutes to view the dessert table and allow yourself a well thought out choice ( or two! )
4. Stay hydrated since thirst often feels like hunger during busy days.
5. Keep your self-care in check and lower cortisol levels by prioritizing sleep & keep cravings and stress hormones in check.
