In the state of Living Awareness, we remain alert, present, natural and at ease.
In Living Awareness, our defenses are down, our agenda has disappeared.
Our true nature with all its brilliant qualities is resourced.
Here there is spontaneity, relief and the dynamic freedom to greet and serve ourselves, others and life as is.

For adults, parents, kids and teens looking to be more thoughtful and intentional about tech use and screen time, I highly recommend this book! The author offers a realistic way of using technology to serve us rather than allowing ourselves to be manipulated by it. The concepts here have served as a springboard for rich family conversation.
No blame, no judgment... as we all learn better we do better. And it’s never too late!

Hold the vision of yourself to become anything you choose to be. But learn to be deeply content with yourself as you are right now. To chase a future version of yourself is to tragically procrastinate being happy.

This Pandemic is stressful in large part because we are not able to localize the threat. As such, our nervous systems remain in a heightened state of alertedness. If we are lucky enough to be safe at home and have basic needs met, our nervous systems are still taking a hit. Determining the appropriate response in any moment or situation without under-reacting or overreacting requires great effort resulting in chronic low level discomfort.

If you are feeling tired, unmotivated, on edge, disoriented... this may be why. What can be done? First of all, it is helpful to seek the company of others, either remotely or physically distanced but to stay connected! We are communal creatures... we need each other.

Other things to do: limit watching the news, eat well, get fresh air and sunlight, be creative in some way, listen to music, look at beautiful things in nature or art, write about your feelings, create a routine, hug those living with you, stretch and move your body, establish good sleep hygiene (enough hrs in a cool dark room), be aware of device overload, and spend a few minutes daily in silence.

Keep informed and aware without panic, take good care of yourself and work to create a life that is balanced by caution and contentment.
