We were honored to host a special presentation by 13-year-old Arielle Amar who shared her prize-winning science fair entry “Mind Over Movement: Does Outlook Affect Physical Recovery After Stroke?” with our staff. Arielle’s remarkable project was inspired by her father, who continues to work hard in stroke recovery following his inpatient stay with us.

We were proud to host the 2026 Leadership Rockland class for their Healthcare and Emergency Services Day to hear from local healthcare leaders and discuss the current state of healthcare.

CEO Scott Guevin led a panel discussion with Montefiore Nyack CEO Dr. Mark Geller and Good Samaritan Hospital Executive Director Dr. Andrew Pickens, who all provided insights about the changing world of healthcare.

The county’s future leaders also heard from Rockland County Health Commissioner Dr. Mary Leahy and healthcare leaders from the Rockland County Department of Mental Health, United Hospice of Rockland and Montefiore Nyack Hospital Home Care, with a focus on a shared commitment to advancing the health and well-being of the community.
