"Most of my patients don't ask so many questions."
→ Good patients ask questions. If your surgeon seems annoyed by your diligence, makes you feel demanding, or compares you to "easier" patients, find someone who respects you.
"I can definitely make you look exactly like that photo."
→ Your anatomy is unique. Promising to replicate someone else's body is lying. Ethical surgeons explain what's realistic for YOUR body, not sell fantasies.
"Let's book your surgery today before this price expires."
→ Pressure tactics have no place in medical decisions. Quality surgeons want you to take time, do research, and feel completely confident. Urgency around pricing is a sales tactic, not medicine.
"Trust me, I've done thousands of these; nothing to worry about."
→ No ethical surgeon guarantees perfect outcomes. Surgery always carries risks. Anyone promising zero complications or perfect results is either delusional or deliberately misleading you.
"Recovery is easy, you'll be back to normal in a few days."
→ Real recovery takes weeks, not days. Surgeons who downplay the difficulty, pain, and restrictions are either inexperienced or lying to close the sale. Honest surgeons prepare you for reality.
These sentences aren't just unprofessional, they're dangerous. The right surgeon never makes you feel rushed, uninformed, or dismissed. Trust your instincts when something feels off.
A patient's safety is my number one priority, and it starts in the consultation room.
