As early as your late 20’s, hormones that are VITAL to truly LIVING your life start to decline and need to be corrected to get you back to the best YOU I know you can be, and I’m here to help!!!. To schedule an evaluation or consultation with Dr. Stocker, email her directly at drjill@drjillstocker.com

I completed my undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Arizona and proceeded to medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. I then completed my training and residency in Michigan, becoming Board Certified in Family Medicine. I then found my true passion and obtained advanced certification in Age Management Medicine and Hormonal Optimization so that I could help restore people's sense of self and vitality so they could truly LIVE their life and not just exist.

Women’s brains, bodies, hormone systems are a delicate interesting COMPLEX…and beautifully exquisite systems that deserve to be celebrated, not medicated.

Feeling “off”/moody/foggy? Think you may be depressed, anxious, ADHD, in perimenopause/menopause or all of the above? You’re right!! All of these symptoms overlap, and also include PTSD(old trauma being healed/processed/released/integrated)as well. And there’s no ONE way to treat it…each woman is different, and it’s imperative to get a full perspective on her, her life, how it’s affected her, what it’s pre wanting her from doing/feeling, etc.

The good news? There IS help, a PLETHORA of options, and so important to try to address as many root causes rather than just bandaid medicine. Anddd, you’re not alone🤍

It can be very confusing, and frustrating, and overwhelming, and all the things. One step at a time, and sometimes simply just being acknowledged can be just the hope your system was needing✨

When you start to have a lot of feelings come back online, this is actually a great sign! Butttt….it may not FEEL or seem that great. Sooo, instead of focusing on feeling better, the invitation would be to get better at feeling. Easier said than done.

Midlife hormone fluctuations can create a lot of mood fluctuations alone, andddd, the veil has been thinned with no longer adhering to old paradigms/constructs/life contracts/roles we no longer fit. It’s also a time when old unhealed trauma may start releasing from the body. The good news? You’re not alone…and there IS help! You don’t need to be “fixed”, because there’s nothing inherently wrong…but rather to be heard, acknowledged, and witnessed during your process, and gently, compassionately guided back to your true authentic self who has an inherent knowingness, is something that isn’t generally taught or modeled in the home, or life, while growing up/into ourselves.

A few things that are helpful to integrate the feeling rather than becoming it, is movement, stillness(the eternal paradox right?), journaling, being in nature, setting a timer for 2 minutes to simply BE WITH the feeling. Oftentimes when we’re uncomfortable the desire is to get rid of the discomfort, numb it, ignore it, but the very thing that’s needed to LEAN IN and discover what wisdom is trying to come through your body.

You’re not alone…you’ve got this🤍

The Power of Presence….what I’ve noticed so far in week 4 of The Presence Process by Michael Brown:

1. How hard it is to be still
2. How quickly my mind wants to fill the stillness
3. There’s maybe a nanosecond between feeling something in my body and my brain trying to create a story about it.
4. The pain was the resistance to simply feeling…once I was just present with it, it passed.
5. The pain, the thought of having to carry it all that keeps my shoulders tight/tense…it was never meant for me to carry…it’s here for me to feel, then let it pass through.
6. The capacity to hold pain is the same capacity to hold joy, but there is no “holding” either if there is to be flow and freedom/liberation…there is noticing, being present with each as they visit me.
7. More to be revealed🥰

***the reason this was calling to me was a longing for more presence in my life, even when in a room filled with people…and I realized I am/have the presence I seek, so I’m deepening that relationship 🤍

Longevity and Lifestyle medicine addresses hormone optimization, but also LIFE optimization, including trauma informed care/modalities to help you BE the fully realized and actualized version of you, the pure essence of YOU.

One of the modalities I’ve used personally, and recommend to others, for various reasons(trauma release, brain health, ADHD symptoms, anxiety/depression symptoms) is neurofeedback. A lot of the Biohacking world uses this for focus/brain health optimization, which is great, andddd…it’s imperative to look at the overall picture to best integrate the work done, including body work/somatic work. Truly, where science meets soul, leading to ultimate liberation and Whole Being Embodiment💫

***There is no “ONE” thing that helps you access this, it’s very personal, individual, and self-guided…your body knows the way, with each modality being introduced when it’s ready. Restoring a sense of agency is key. With so many videos and “experts” out there, it can be very confusing and overwhelming to know where/how to start…listen to your own inner knowing, there is great wisdom there🤍

I continue to see the same epigenetic patterns…restricted, advanced aging lungs…people aren’t breathing deeply, there’s no time, the other shoe’s about to drop, they’re stuck in hyper functioning mode, rather than BE mode, radical presence. While we may not live in the story of what shapes our survival mechanisms, how we operate in the world, the story still lives in our body, our fascia. The good news, it can be released! Andddd, it improves not only your mobility, less pain(if you have pain). It significantly impacts your longevity…and is completely within your control, within as little as 3 months!!! We often think we need to push harder, do more cardio(which does have its benefits), but our body eventually will BEG for stillness, and release. Unwinding the muscles and fascia is key to this release, and ultimately nervous system regulation…finally moving from survival mode to fully present and thriving mode. Yin/restorative yoga and breathwork are a couple things to add to your weekly regimen. You’ll see and feel tangible results in just one session. I encourage you to try softer for a change, and be profoundly surprised🤍

***at home or in spa fascia stretching can be a great addition to this process…giving the body permission to release without story💫

What it felt like as I drove into Sedona and up to my favorite rock today….tears flowing freely and deeply…permission to release without story, exactly what my body and soul was craving🤍💫🙌. Nature knows just what to do, just how to hold, just how to simply BE..what a gift.

Continuing my training in Trauma Informed Medicine with a couple of the greats. I became the trauma practitioner I most needed and now I incorporate it into my practice, helping others return to the pure essence of their wholeness, their inherent BEingness.

Having a history of trauma and/or domestic violence can affect your perimenopause/menopause journey even more, and earlier, and may cause some women to have more “unusual” symptoms because of their trauma/domestic violence. It’s important to speak to someone who’s trauma informed who can decipher what’s happening, to help you move through it in a very specific to you and your experience approach, not a one size fits all medication or hormone regimen. ALL the things are important…hormones, SAFETY, lifestyle/nutrition/movement, healthy and quality relationships/sense of community and connection.

Domestic violence involves more than just physical trauma, it can include verbal, emotional, psychological, s*xual, and financial….anddddd, can continue happening after separation from the person(post separation abuse, including high conflict parenting, continued verbal abuse, financial abuse, ultimately affecting children if involved, because the health of the parent is compromised).

If any of this resonates, you’re not alone…and you deserve to live a full and vibrant life, and CAN!!

We need to feel safe to feel what we feel, and we need others for that. We heal in relationship and community. Speaking your truth, even just to one person, helps unlock you from that shame prison you never deserved to be in.

And while speaking about it is imperative, even more so is restoring your body, creating a safe “home” within yourself, to be able to move freely and experience the full rapture of life. Bodywork is essential: yoga(in particular yin or restorative), breathwork, massage, acupuncture, trauma releasing exercises(or vibration plates), theatre, singing, and community!!! Doing all this alone won’t yield the results you deserve, it requires being with others, not just on screens, but in person, to feel one another’s humanity and other people’s nervous systems to see and feel how things can be. A core party of being alive is being devoted to each other.

***Experiment outcome-my stomach felt better after recording this🥰

Our Story

Hi there! I’m Dr Jill, and I help women (and men!) Reclaim Their JUICINESS and VITALITY.

Forget “aging gracefully”, you deserve to live AMAZINGLY, and go from surviving to thriving...physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and s*xually!

What most people don’t realize is that hormonal decline starts as early as late 20’s/early 30’s. Symptoms can include loss of energy/vitality, brain fog, trouble sleeping, difficulty with focus, dry va**na, no s*x drive, difficulty having or***ms, not feeling s*xy, stubborn lower belly fat no matter how much you exercise and eat clean, loss of muscle tone, hair loss, and so much more!!

To schedule an evaluation or consultation with Dr. Jill, email her directly at drjill@drjillstocker.com or call (323) 874-9355. For more information about hormonal decline visit the blog at www.thebodywellusa.com, as well as her Women’s Only Facebook Forum (Hormone Doctor-Reclaim Your Juiciness)
