This past Thursday, we hosted the Budist Lounge for the second year at the long-running Friends N’ Family party during Grammy Week. Now in its 27th year, the gathering is organized by several major music labels and brings together more than 2,000 artists and industry leaders. It’s the kind of setting that feels naturally suited for cannabis to be enjoyed, yet rarely gets the chance to be fully integrated into the experience.

Cannabis and music have always shared a connection, but how cannabis shows up socially still matters. The lounge exists to offer a familiar, comfortable environment for people who already consume to rediscover it in a social setting and explore different product types and methods of consumption. This year’s lounge featured six distinct tasting experiences that kept guests moving between bars and returning for seconds.

A special thank you to our featured brands who made each activation memorable: Flower Bar by Farm Cut & Emerald Spirit Botanicals; Dry-Herb V**e Bar by Storz & Bickel; Solventless V**e Bar by Natural Gas & RAWSin; Edible Bar by KANHA; and Beverage Bars by Cheech & Chong seltzers and Bloom & Barrel THC-infused wine.

Moments like this help shift the conversation from stigma toward social celebration. They highlight the care behind the products and the people who make them, and they show that cannabis can sit comfortably alongside music, food, and culture at one of the most anticipated parties of Grammy week.

More to come soon in our full event recap, including behind-the-scenes moments and a closer look at the award-winning products featured.

A piece of San Francisco history is coming to the big screen.

Join the Club premieres in San Francisco as part of SF IndieFest 2026 on Saturday, February 7 at 6pm at the . The film traces the roots of the medical access movement beginning in the 1970s, led by advocates like Dennis Peron, Brownie Mary Rathbun, Terrance Alan, and many others whose work in San Francisco helped pave the way for local patient protections, California’s Prop 215, and ultimately Prop 64. The history many lived is the foundation younger generations now stand on.

Before the screening, there will be a community reception from noon to 5pm at Meadow, with the filmmakers, longtime activists, and members of the SF Brownie Mary Democratic Club. Afterward, we’ll walk together to the theater for the premiere. and the are helping support the film and its message.

If you’re part of the NorCal community, this is a chance to come together, honor the people who fought for patient rights, and make sure this history isn’t lost.

Comment if you’re planning to attend so we can be sure to include you in the festivities before and after the film.

In wine, vintage reports capture the growing season—weather patterns, challenges, yields, and the character they imprint on the final product. This 2024 California Harvest Report is our first attempt to apply that same lens to our industry.

This inaugural report is intentionally limited in scope. It reflects insights from just over 20 small, craft farms across five California regions: Humboldt, Mendocino, Trinity, Lake, and Nevada Counties. It is not comprehensive, and it’s arriving later than we would ideally publish a harvest report. But it represents an important first step and proof of concept for how we believe cannabis harvests should be documented, contextualized, and remembered.

Rather than aiming for authority, this report offers a glimpse into a single season, a handful of regions, and a community of farmers whose work is deeply shaped by place, climate, and care. In the year ahead, this framework will expand with more farms, deeper regional insight, and more timely reporting. We’ll open a call for submissions for the 2025 Harvest Report in January, with a separate announcement inviting farmers who would like to participate.

For now, we’re proud to share this first vintage. Featured farms include:

Humboldt County: Alpenglow Farms, Briceland Forest Farm, Galactic Farms, Huckleberry Hill Farms, Midnight Gardens, Neukom Family Farm, Organic Medicinals / Alluvium Organics, Savage Farms, and True Mom and Pop

Mendocino County: Cosmic Forces Garden, First Cut Farms, Martyjuana Farms, North Folk Garden Society, River Txai Farms / Arcana Flowers, Seed 707, Sunbright Gardens, and Tall Tree Society

Trinity County: Sol Spirit Farm, Trinity Alps Canna Craft

Lake County: Magic Meadow Farms, Mombacho Farms

Nevada County: Bear River Farms, Foothill River Farms
