“Twelve rides. Twenty years. A lifetime of love. ❤️🚴♀️
This week, I completed my 12th, and final, AIDS/LifeCycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles and my heart is overflowing with gratitude.
For two decades, this community has been my home. I’ve laughed, cried, struggled, and grown beside some of the most inspiring people I’ve ever known. Together, we’ve climbed hills, faced headwinds, and pushed through the pain, always with purpose, always with love. The friendships I’ve made are forever and the memories are etched in my soul.
AIDS/LifeCycle isn’t just a ride, it’s a movement. It’s a reminder that when we come together with a common goal, open hearts, and unwavering determination, we can create something bigger than ourselves. Something life changing that helps build the future we all deserve.
This chapter may be closing, but the impact, the love, and the lessons will stay with me forever.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported me through this journey.
Riding in the AIDS/LifeCycle has been a powerful way to raise awareness and vital funds for HIV care and prevention, supporting communities that have fought tirelessly to reduce new infections and end stigma. Although federal funding cuts threaten to undo that progress by dismantling the very programs that have saved lives and brought us closer to an HIV free future, the incredible community behind this ride continues to inspire hope, drive change, and show the world what’s possible when we come together.” -Johnny Cross, MHF Director of Rapid Results
