Similar to building physical strength at a gym with the help of a personal trainer, our clients work to increase their emotional growth through the guidance provided by our clinicians. As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I

will consult with you, guiding you into the healthy habit of attaching to appropriate thoughts, resulting in happier feelings and actions. When someone calls I know they have chosen to invest in their well-being and taken a responsible step toward their betterment. I feel so fortunate to be in the position to help people fulfill their potential.

In honor of the second season of “Shrinking,” I wanted to share a photo of the entrance to my office. The story behind it is quite interesting: in the 1970s, this office served as the production office for the film *American Graffiti.* Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas wanted some privacy, so they hired a carpenter to create a door. That carpenter turned out to be Harrison Ford. They took a liking to him and ended up casting him in the film, which became his big break.

Now, The Mental Gym occupies this office, and in a full-circle moment, Harrison Ford plays a therapist on television!
