The Mental Gym is founded with the understanding that professional psychological perspectives can help those looking to achieve important goals or work through life challenges. Similar to building physical strength at a gym with the help of a personal trainer, our clients work to increase their emotional growth through the guidance provided by our clinicians. As a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, I will consult with you, guiding you into the healthy habit of attaching to appropriate thoughts, resulting in happier feelings and actions. When someone calls I know they have chosen to invest in their well-being and taken a responsible step toward their betterment. I feel so fortunate to be in the position to help people fulfill their potential.

In honor of the second season of “Shrinking,” I wanted to share a photo of the entrance to my office. The story behind it is quite interesting: in the 1970s, this office served as the production office for the film *American Graffiti.* Francis Ford Coppola and George Lucas wanted some privacy, so they hired a carpenter to create a door. That carpenter turned out to be Harrison Ford. They took a liking to him and ended up casting him in the film, which became his big break.

Now, The Mental Gym occupies this office, and in a full-circle moment, Harrison Ford plays a therapist on television!
