When I got diagnosed with cancer I was poised to ascend to the role of President of the ASDS - something I was so excited and proud to do. But as they say, cancer had other plans. I stepped aside with tears in my eyes. It was just one more thing this diagnosis was taking away.
My goal in September was to still make it to the meeting - to do something that felt normal to me. To prove to myself that the cadence of my life could go on.
Today the ASDS President Seth Matarasso presented me with the President’s Award. And after his words the audience stood up.
And there they were. The tears in my eyes. This time, a reminder that while cancer takes a lot away, sometimes it reminds you of exactly what you have. And that was an amazing blessing. Thank you @asdsmembers @sethmatarasso

Whenever we get new products as a gift, we make sure we try it out before recommending it to our patients. One of our favorite littles is giving the @coola sunscreen stick a whirl. What I like about it is that kids can use sunscreen sticks to get into the habit of applying sun protection themselves. Although she will need a second coat from mom, our new little IG star is definitely getting the hang of it.
