West Jordan Care Center is home to 72+ residents with intellectual and physical disabilities. Some of them have limited personal funds and/or some do not have family support during the holidays. We are hoping to fill stockings and make Christmas magical for each resident — and we would love your help!

Suggested Donations:

• Hygiene: Body wash, shampoo, lotion, ChapStick, electric toothbrushes, hairbrushes, combs, hair ties, clips

• Sensory & Comfort: Small sensory toys, projector/night lights, jingle bells

• Crafts & Activities: Coloring books, crayons/markers, simple games

• Winter Wear: Gloves, hats, scarves, slippers

• Accessories: Holiday headbands, bracelets, fun hair accessories

• Snacks & Treats: Individually wrapped candy/treats (including sugar-free), pudding cups, drink flavor packets

• Other: Tumblers, reusable water bottles, small mirrors, fidget items

Some items on the list will help us create tote bags for residents (easier to manage than traditional stockings). If supplies are received, we welcome volunteers to help assemble and/or wrap gifts closer to Christmas.

We will miss you Ann!

A celebration of Annie’s life will be held graveside at Mapleton Cemetery (620 West Maple Street, Mapleton, Utah 84664) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21st. All are invited to join the family for dinner immediately following the service at Magleby’s in Springville.

As many of you know we had to postpone our fashion show this year due to illness in our building. It has been rescheduled and reimagined slightly as a royal ball. If your loved one was going to participate in the fashion show that was postponed this is when they will be spotlighted instead. It will be October 23rd, emails and text messages have been sent out to those who are being spotlighted this year. If you have questions feel free to call us at WJCC!
