🎃 Halloween Fun at Sunridge Assisted Living! 👻

Our Halloween festivities kicked off with a Chili Cook-Off — all of our managers brought in their best recipes, and wow, were they delicious! 🌶️🔥

A big congratulations to Sherrie and Jalene for winning Fan Favorites! 🏆👏

After the cook-off, we sipped on homemade root beer, nibbled on cookies, and enjoyed the Halloween Parade filled with adorable children and creative trick-or-treaters. 🍪🎈

It was the perfect mix of fun, food, and festive spirit — what a great way to celebrate Halloween together! 🧡🕸️

A Stitch in the Pillar of Love

A few years ago, my mom gave me a sewing machine — a gift filled with love and the hope that I’d carry on her creative spirit. She didn’t leave me a single lesson on how to thread a bobbin, but she left me something far more important: a reminder that love, like a well-sewn seam, holds things together.

Recently, I donated that sewing machine to the residents at Sunridge Assisted Living. There, it will find new hands and new purpose — helping residents hem and repair their families’ clothing, make decorative pillows, and complete long-awaited projects.

In many ways, this simple machine has become part of the pillar of love that supports the Sunridge community — connecting generations through care, creativity, and the joy of giving.

I think Mom would be proud knowing her gift continues to bring comfort and meaning, one stitch at a time. 💛🧵
