Multicultural counseling center was founded in February of 2015 by Karla Arroyo, LCSW. Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) was envisioned from its early beginnings as a counseling center capable of offering quality and evidenced-based practice mental health therapy in a clean and cozy environment so that our clients would feel like visiting a friend at their home. Soon after Karla started Irma Ramos, LMHC, joined the practice and a few months later Viridiana Zendejas became part of the team.
From the early beginning, we envisioned a practice where mental health was not limited to the one hour therapy but that was combined with case management and advocacy to help our client’s problem solve the complexity of life. With the founders of Multicultural Counseling Center being Latina first and second generation of immigrants, we envisioned a practice where our Latino roots could be celebrated and taken in consideration in all of our processes and modalities.
We also wanted a workplace that encouraged the well-being of its employees and was committed to sharing the growth and success of the company with all team members financially and with a lighter workload.
At MCC all of our forms are available in English and Spanish, all of our therapists are bilingual/bicultural in English and Spanish so that clients can have the freedom of expressing their feelings and thoughts in the language that better fits the expression.
