Reflecting on a busy summer and an intense hurricane season, we're incredibly proud of the teams across our engineering, emergency management, and health divisions. Together, we supported (and continue to support) the State of Florida in response to Hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton.

Our emergency management team continues to make a significant impact, currently assisting with SR 62 in Manatee County, where we’re conducting hazardous hangar and leaner removal monitoring for FDOT District 1.

It’s an honor to contribute to the hurricane response and recovery efforts, and help strengthen communities in the face of these challenges.

This Veterans Day, as we proudly honor the brave men and women who have served our country, we are especially thinking of the 20-30 veterans who volunteered their time last summer to assist fellow Florida residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia. During that time, they called the CDR | EM-operated Mayo Base Camp their home.

With the base camp decorated in red, white, and blue, CDR staff, USA Up Star, and our incredible volunteers came together to celebrate these heroes. From a special dinner to a Top Gun: Maverick watch party, trivia games, and heartfelt introductions, we ensured every veteran felt honored. We also celebrated the Marine Corps’ 248th birthday with a cake-cutting ceremony, where the oldest and youngest Marine shared a piece, symbolizing the transfer of knowledge and experience that unites our military family.❤️🤍💙

To all veterans, especially those who made "Camp Bougie" the special place it was, we are deeply grateful for your unwavering service—past, present, and future. On behalf of the entire CDR Companies family, we thank you for your sacrifice and dedication.🇺🇸

With a focus on restoring, redeveloping, and revitalizing impacted by both Hurricane and Hurricane , CDR | EM continues to assist the State of Florida in their debris removal operations, with our teams diligently working to remove debris from the waterways in Keaton Beach, as well as damaged vessels in Tampa.

Here's a look at our team during an evening huddle at our Logistics Staging Area in Fort Meyers, Florida. LEMOINE is partnering with CDR Companies to assist the Florida Department of Emergency Management with response operations.

On Thursday, October 10th, at the direction of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, CDR Health began mobilizing the Lutz Alternate Care Site Special Needs in Lutz, , standing up a fully-functional 2,000-bed site in less than 24 hours.

Evacuees and patients started arriving to our facility on Friday, October 11th, where they were provided 3 meals a day, clean bathrooms and showers, laundry capabilities, and medical care as needed.

CDR Health’s Lutz site ultimately served as the only remaining special needs /ACS in Pasco County, and it has been our distinct pleasure to serve our fellow neighbors and Florida residents over the last week and half as they begin their journey to recovery post-Hurricane .

A heartfelt thank you to the Brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon - USF at the University of South Florida. Your incredible support in the wake of Hurricane Milton, at CDR Health’s special needs shelter, made a significant impact!

Together, you helped distribute extra food, donating over 13,000 meals to various organizations in Tampa, including Feeding Tampa Bay and The Salvation Army of Tampa, and USF students affected by power outages.

Beyond food distribution, your efforts in assisting with the demobilization of our shelter at the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus—breaking down hundreds of cots, organizing medical supplies, and transporting them to our other special needs shelter and alternate care site in Lutz—were invaluable.

Thank you to Wiregrass Ranch Sports Complex for sharing your beautiful facility with us, so we could provide a shelter and safe haven for residents seeking a place of rest, security, and access to food in the wake of Hurricane Milton.

With Pasco County closing all other special needs shelters, CDR Health is currently operating the only remaining Alternate Care Site/Special Needs Shelter in Pasco county, located in Lutz, Florida.

They will resume disaster debris removal operations along priority roadways within the 5 counties and look forward to doing their part to clear the road and help communities on their path to recovery as Florida begins to rebuild post-Hurricane Milton (and Hurricane Helene)!

Rapid response and the ability to recover quickly in the wake of a often hinge on and advance planning. This was exemplified when FDEM established what could be the largest base camp preparation in , aimed at housing 10,000 to 20,000 emergency first responders.

The mobilization of base camp assets and personnel was coordinated by | CDR Logistics. In partnership with nearly 110 vendors, was transformed into a fully functional base camp in just 9 hours, ready to support pre-storm activities.

Hurricane preparedness efforts for this base camp began on Saturday, October 5th, around 8:00 p.m. An LCDR team member was directed to Tropicana Field, where they met with the Tampa Bay Rays General Manager and senior staff.

By 11:00 p.m., the Rays staff officially handed over the keys to LCDR. We then developed a site plan and drafted a concept of operations, completing this task by approximately 2:30 a.m.

By 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 6th, multiple vendors and their staff began arriving with supplies, and around 9:30 a.m., the first responder officially checked in to the Hurricane Milton Tropicana Field Base Camp.
