I wanted to share something meaningful that’s been created in Sarah’s honor. The Dr. Sarah Hallberg Endowed Scholarship for Diabetes Research and Prevention at UAB will support students from underserved backgrounds who are passionate about preventing and reversing diabetes—work Sarah dedicated her life to. It will also help advance research in the areas she cared most about.

Many of you were Sarah’s patients, colleagues, or friends. Please don’t feel any pressure to give. Your ongoing support, your memories, and the way you carry forward living each day—that is the true legacy, and it means more than words can express. But if you’d like to learn more or share the effort with others, here’s the link:

Seven years ago, we began what is now a global force changing the face of healthcare and chronic disease, Nutrition Network

Over ten thousand healthcare workers and health coaches trained
A growing global membership community with three thousand members
Translations of our work into eight languages.
A world first global textbook published that has eleven editors and sixty one contributing authors.
Members now in 104 countries and counting.
Over 200 leading global lecturers.
We are about to launch our 60th CPD/CME training.
We are a month into a.pilot taking our low carb knowledge to those most in need via Whole Body Health our new consumer brand.

Also, we are a social enterprise that funds not for profits such as The Noakes Foundation and several other charities through our partners like The SMHP and recently hosting legacy work by Dr. Sarah Hallberg designed to fund foundations.

Never doubt your ideas. No matter how far fetched.
Nor how far they can go with care and the right amazing humans to take the journey with.

👏

I am absolutely not going to pretend it's all been or is easy. That would be a lie. I have never worked harder, longer and done as much for anything in my life (other than parenting). I have never learnt more or had to dig as deep in so many areas. I'm so proud of myself and my incredibly exceptional team.

I'm so proud the five of us that begun this are all still standing and in it to win it.

This isn’t just an isolated success story—it’s proof of the incredible power of food to shape our minds, behaviors, and futures.

Ultra-processed foods disrupt the microbiome, trigger chronic inflammation, and impair brain function—leading to mood disorders, impulsivity, and even aggressive behavior.

By replacing these foods with nutrient-dense, whole ingredients, we can support the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine, which are critical for emotional regulation and mental health.

Imagine the ripple effect if we prioritized real food:
✔️ Schools serving meals that fuel learning and mental health.
✔️ Prisons reducing violence and improving rehabilitation.
✔️ Hospitals using food as medicine to reverse chronic disease.

If healthy meals can transform behavior in a detention center, imagine what they could do in your home, your community, and our society.

Ketone bodies, known for their role in energy metabolism during fasting, have been shown to directly interact with damaged proteins in the brain, aiding their clearance through autophagy.

This November, as we recognize both Lung Cancer and Diabetes Awareness Month, I can't help but think of my incredible wife, Dr. Sarah Hallberg. Sarah dedicated her life to helping others reclaim their health, especially those battling diabetes.

To honor Sarah's legacy and help spread her message of empowerment, I've lowered the price of her paperback and Kindle versions to the absolute lowest Amazon allows. If you've been curious about this book, whether for yourself or a loved one, now's the perfect time to grab a copy and discover the power of knowledge and self determination in the pursuit of health.

💉🩸🎗November is Diabetes Awareness month.🎗🩸💉

Prediabetes doesn’t have to progress inevitably into full-blown type 2 diabetes. If both conditions are defined by blood sugar that’s too high, then you can make a massive improvement in them - even reversing them entirely - simply by avoiding foods and beverages that raise your blood sugar! (Hint: that’s carbs. Particularly refined carbs and simple sugars.) 🫶
