Can ginseng help with reproductive health issues like fibroids, BPH, or ED?

Ginseng has been used for centuries as a natural remedy, and modern clinical trials are beginning to catch up. Recent research suggests it may offer real benefits for gender-specific health challenges—from reducing the risk of uterine fibroids and easing menopausal symptoms to improving s***m quality and erectile function.

This review summarizes the latest human studies on ginseng’s potential to support fertility, sexual function, and quality of life as we age. While not a cure-all, ginseng’s low side-effect profile and broad pharmacological effects make it a compelling natural ally.

Diabetes doesn’t just affect blood sugar- it silently damages the body from the inside out. From heart disease and kidney failure to vision loss and chronic wounds, the real culprit behind many diabetic complications is something deeper: the dysregulation of the extracellular matrix (ECM). In this article, we explore how chronic hyperglycemia, inflammation, and molecular imbalances drive ECM remodeling - leading to fibrosis, organ dysfunction, and impaired healing.

Learn how new research is uncovering the molecular roots of diabetic damage and pointing to potential therapies that could change the future of care: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1186/s44424-025-00005-3

This article explores the distinct types—NSCLC and SCLC—their treatments, and how Traditional Asian Medicine (TAM), like acupuncture and herbal therapies, may enhance outcomes and reduce side effects when combined with Western medicine. A systematic review is underway to evaluate the evidence.

This weekend in Las Vegas, Dr. Angelica Kokkalis of The Han Institute had the privilege of treating members of the La Jolla Volleyball team from San Diego, CA. High school athletes push their bodies to the limit—jumping, diving, and training hard to compete at their best. Unfortunately, this also puts them at high risk for overuse injuries, muscular imbalances, and strain.

Early treatment of athletic injuries is essential. Ignoring pain or “playing through it” can lead to long-term damage that affects both athletic performance and overall well-being. That’s why integrated care makes all the difference.

Dr. Kokkalis combines Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern understanding of neuromuscular health—offering therapies like cupping, guasha (neuromuscular reeducation), acupuncture, and electrostimulation. These time-tested practices complement conventional care, promoting blood flow, reducing inflammation, and accelerating recovery.

As this trip shows, taking care of young athletes is not just about game-day performance—it’s about building strong, healthy bodies for the long run.
