Boundary setting with others is important to maintain peace. We also need to set boundaries with ourselves to prioritize protecting our energy, both physically and mentally. While physical self-care is often emphasized, we tend to overlook the psychological aspect of energy preservation. Here are some practical tips and insights to help you safeguard and recharge your energy levels effectively.

💫First and foremost, don’t start your day with draining activities, such as reading the news, social media, etc. Start your day with a full cup of positive energy, as throughout the day, it will naturally drain. Keep your cup as full as possible.

💫Recognize and Set Boundaries:
Establishing healthy boundaries in your personal and professional life is vital for protecting your energy. Learn to recognize what drains your energy and set clear limits.

💫Practice Mindfulness:
Engaging in mindfulness practices can significantly contribute to protecting your energy. Mindfulness involves being fully present in the moment, without judgment. Regular meditation, deep breathing exercises, or even simply taking mindful walks in nature can help you stay grounded, reduce stress, and increase your overall energy levels. Our breath is our greatest resource!

When someone says to trust your intuition, it’s not that easy. It’s essential to do the inner healing work. Unbeknownst to me, through my own therapeutic approach, I was assisting in helping clients deepen their intuition.

One of the reasons why they were opening up their intuition was because I was using my own somatic approach; the body is a doorway to the unconscious, which is connected to intuition. But they were also doing the healing work, which cleared up the channels to receive intuitive information.

So, do you want to trust your intuition? Take time to do the inner healing work and your intuition starts to be the guide vs. the programming mind.

How do you like to connect to your intuition? There are many tools and exercises one could utilize for tapping in, and a great one is journaling.
Take time to ground yourself, meditate for at least 10 minutes, open your journal and start writing and letting the information come through.
Take the time each day to connect with your inner wisdom. You are so much wiser than you know 🤍

Valentine's Day, also called St. Valentine's Day is when lovers express their affection with greetings and gifts. While this is lovely and thoughtful, one crucial aspect of your relationship is mindfulness. There is a saying, neurons that fire together, wire together. In couples therapy, one of the boundaries I set for each individual is to be mindful of yourself and your partner. When one partner is reactive, the other partner is more prone to reactive, wiring the couple into a negative neuropathway pattern versus a positive, solution-oriented communication pattern. To make today extra special, think of your intention before you speak, and ask yourself what you hope the impact will be. If the intention and the impact don't match, take a breath and try again. 💖

To all my single ladies:
Are you one that tends to compare yourself to other women who have a long-lasting, loving relationship? Do you tend to think, “Why do I keep choosing the wrong men?” Many women chose the “wrong man.” It’s not that some are lucky or unlucky, have a better “picker” etc. It’s that the successful ones leave as soon as the red flags appear.
To be clear, we all have baggage, so a few examples of red flags are: (1) when the other person is not willing to meet your needs and/or (2) not willing to take responsibility for their actions (3) not making you a priority - if they want to be with you, they WILL make the time.

Take away: the more you invest in a relationship, the more attached you become, resulting in making it harder to leave. The more you know your worth, the less likely you will stay and not wait around for weeks or months.
