📣 BREAKING GOOD NEWS — local Wyoming doctor recognized for her contributions to the profession of opt ometry!

Please give a virtual round of applause to WOA member, Dr. Sue Lowe of Snowy Range Vision Center in Laramie, WY — as the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Great Western Council of Optometry.

The WOA is proud of Dr. Sue Lowe and her outstanding contributions to the Profession of Optometry and her commitment to her patients and her community. We congratulate her on the much deserved Lifetime Achievement Award!

Just a bit about Sue & her lifetime of work: Dr. Sue E. Lowe has dedicated her professional career to the field of Optometry. Dr. Lowe is board certified as a diplomate by the American Board of Optometry and is a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, Fellow in the American Academy of Optometry, and adjunct
faculty at the University of Wyoming, School of Nursing. She is past President-elect of the Great Western
Council of Optometry. She has served in every office in the Sports Vision Section of the American Optometric Association and the Wyoming Optometric Association. Dr. Lowe was elected to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the College of Optometrist in Vision Development, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, and Albany County Hospital District at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lowe has served on the International Examining Board of College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the Western Regional Examining Board of the American Academy of Optometry. She was honored as one of one hundred distinguished practitioners in the National Academies of Practice in
1998.

She has been in private practice in Laramie, Wyoming since 1980. Her special interest area and
emphasis of practice lies in Vision Performance Enhancement and Vision Rehabilitation, including
pediatrics, geriatrics. She currently serves and has served on the medical advisory board of the Albany
County Headstart, Wyoming Vision Collaborative and Staff at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lowe has
lectured across the United States on Pediatric Vision, Vision Rehabilitation and Vision Performance
Enhancement.
