Sometimes we uncover more than venous insufficiency. Bigger problems may require treatment at the hospital.

◽ Venous Thrombectomy: In cases of extensive DVT, some patients are candidates for a procedure called percutaneous thrombolysis and thrombectomy to restore normal flow through the veins.

◽ Vena Cava Filter: In patients who cannot receive a blood thinner due to other medical issues, or have developed a DVT despite already taking a blood thinner, a device known as a filter may be placed in the inferior vena cava which allows normal blood to flow through the vein and captures any possible clots.

◽ Intravascular Ultrasound: Is used to diagnose May-Thurner Syndrome, a condition in which deep veins in the pelvis are compressed by an artery. Treatment may require a stent.
Of course, we offer minimally invasive procedures which are completed in the clinic: Endovenous Radiofrequency Ablation (VNUS Closure), VenaSeal, and Varithena foam sclerotherapy.

When it comes to veins...

Many times the symptoms can be subtle, like:

- Soreness
- Fatigue
- Achiness
- And Restlessness

Then there are bigger problems.

More noticeable symptoms of varicose veins include:

- Large veins visible just under the surface of the skin.
- Mild swelling of ankles and feet
- Painful, achy, or "heavy" legs
- Throbbing or cramping in the legs
- Itchy legs, especially on the lower leg and ankle

There are also spider veins which are smaller, red, purple, and blue vessels that also twist and turn. Spider veins are easily visible through the skin, as well.
..If you or a loved one have ANY concerns over your veins or your legs, then I invite you to reach out to us.
