Your stress response isn’t just in your head — it lives in your body.
The adrenals (tiny glands sitting on top of your kidneys) and the vagus nerve run most of the stress show.

When they’re overworked → the nearby muscles start talking back.
That’s why stress so often feels like back pain in your psoas, QL, or iliacus.

The fix? First calm the system → breath is the reset button.
Once your nervous system shifts gears, the muscles let go easier.
That’s where the toolbox comes in: manual release, mobility work, and the right homework keep you out of the stress-pain loop.

🌀 Control your breath → control your state.
Control your state → control your recovery.

🎯 Shoulder pain slowing you down? Let’s talk rotator cuff reset.

Front shoulder stiffness usually hides a deeper story: when your subscapularis is tight and your infraspinatus is restricted, your body overcompensates—and hello pain!

In today’s session, I pulled out the Manual Therapy Toolbox 🧰 , , , , … and yes, even some to calm the system. There is always room for joint mobilization too ✅️

Result? Pain-free range of motion and a shoulder ready to perform.

💡 You gotta tune it before you tone it.

One side of his body wasn’t working… 😬
Running, cycling, even turning his head—pain on one shoulder.

Turns out the pec minor was part of it… but the left QL & SCM were tight, his hip was hiked, and jaw clenching was secretly locking him up. 🦴

Random Acts of Mobility: Why Your Back, Shoulder, and Elbow Pain Are Connected

A client came in midweek feeling it all — mid and low back, neck, shoulder blade, and even elbow pain. Driving long hours, sitting through rainy days, and pushing through life isn’t helping.

The culprit? The Posterior Oblique Sling (POS) — a powerhouse connection from your glutes, through your thoracolumbar fascia, to the opposite lat. Restriction anywhere along the chain shows up as pain somewhere else.💥

We worked through his glutes, lats, and TLF. A few targeted corrections — hands-on release, functional cupping, mobility drills — and his pull-up elbows calmed down. His shoulder blades and neck felt freer. Understanding global compensation patterns is the start to eliminating pain and boosting performance.✅️

Takeaway:
It's all connected. Treat it that way.
You don’t pay attention… attention pays you.💰

Random Acts of Mobility 🌀
Attention Runners, Cyclists, CrossFitters, Powerlifters, Physique Athletes, Weekend Warriors… and Parents wrangling toddlers 👶:

Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain is one of the most common issues I see.
👉 Sometimes it’s both sides.
👉 Sometimes it’s just one.
👉 Almost always, it’s tied to an inefficient core.

When your core doesn’t stabilize, your SIJ has to over-compress to do the job. One side jams up, the other side decompresses. That front balance point? The inguinal ligament. If that relationship goes off, the whole system compensates.

💡 Here’s the kicker: you can’t just treat the joint. The surrounding muscles + ligaments need love too. When you do both, results last.

You got to tune it before you tone it ✅️

☀️ 90° Sunday reset.
Truth is… almost everything we do is just to change the way we feel.

The problem?
Most of us never train ourselves to shift states quickly or effectively. We overthink, stress, and burn out—forgetting the tools already built into us.

Start simple:
➡️ One slow, deep breath.
➡️ A shift in posture.
➡️ A reset in focus.

Stay hydrated 💧

Ahhh…the ankles, foot, and calves.
If you’ve got plantar fasciitis, don’t just chase the heel pain — check the entire foot-and-ankle system. Sometimes the real troublemaker is hiding in plain sight.

A neglected cuboid or other structural issue can throw your biomechanics into chaos:
• Shortened lateral column → forefoot drifts outward
• Lesser metatarsals shift → arch drops (hello planus deformity)
• Compensatory hindfoot eversion → overworked posterior tib tendon
• Long-term? Foot stiffness, arthritis, and deformity that kills your

Here’s the good news:
The right combination of soft tissue mobilization, manual therapy, and breathwork can reset your mechanics and keep you moving pain-free.

You gotta tune it before you tone it.
Take it from someone who’s been burned by ignoring it —

EnjoyTheLittleThings

It’s easy to forget:
Every big goal is built from dozens of small, often invisible steps.
But those “small” steps?
They’re where life actually happens.

In the grind.
In the so-called routine.
In the conversations and moments you’ll wish you could bottle up later.

It’s in those times you’re learning what you need for your next move,
Or connecting with the people who matter most.

So when you’re waiting for the next big thing,
Step back.
Look around.
Soak in the little things.

Because one day, you’ll realize…
They were the big things all along.

Where are you livin’ your life?
Past? Future?
Or are you actually here — grounded in the moment, right now?

Look within.
Feel out your feelings.
Elevate your self-awareness.
Create positive experience.

Take a few slow, deep nasal breaths and give gratitude for this moment —
right here, right now.

A client came in feeling “off” — like one side of his body just… wasn’t syncing. Couldn’t rotate fully when running or cycling. Pain with looking over one shoulder.

At first glance? You’d think it was pec minor, a key driver of thoracic rotation.

But my assessment flagged his left QL and SCM — locked up. His hip was hiked. His trunk wasn't rotating right. Something wasn’t lining up.

So I asked: “Any jaw clenching lately?”

Bullseye. 🎯

Pulled out the Mobility Toolbox and got to work:
• Sacro-Occipital Technique
• Lymphatic Drainage
• Active Release
• Functional Cupping
• Graston + Band Floss
• Box Breathing through it all

His right jaw, QL, and psoas were the culprits — and when they released?
His neck ROM came back. Thoracic rotation unlocked.
Pain-free. Integrated. Functional.

💥 It’s all connected.
💀 Tune it before you tone it.
