That's why I wanted to tell you about an excellent educational video we came across on YouTube this week. In the video, a highly experienced physical therapist breaks down the science behind heat therapy and cold therapy for common injuries like strains, sprains and muscle soreness.
In the video he outlines the different inflammatory phases of the healing process and provides evidence-based guidelines on when each modality is most effective. Having treated thousands of patients over the years, he really knows his stuff!
