Stay Warm and Stay Safe❄️As the winter chill sets in, it's important to take precautions to keep yourself safe!
Here are a few tips to protect yourself from hypothermia and frostbite:
🧥 Dress in Layers: Layering your clothing helps to trap heat and insulate your body. Start with a moisture-wicking base layer, add a warm middle layer, and top it off with a windproof outer layer.
🥶Cover Exposed Skin: Don't forget to protect your extremities by wearing hats, scarves, gloves, and warm socks. These areas are especially susceptible to frostbite.
🏂Keep Moving: Physical activity generates body heat, so try to stay active.
👍 Be Mindful of Signs: Look out for symptoms like shivering, numbness, confusion or pale skin. These could indicate hypothermia or frostbite. Seek medical attention immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.
Remember, prevention is the key when it comes to hypothermia and frostbite. Take care of yourself and look out for one another this winter.
