Damage to the USPSTF would be yet another blow to public health.

Original members of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force are now warning that eliminating the Task Force could undo decades of progress in evidence-based preventive care.

The USPSTF guides physicians and patients on screenings from cancer detection to alcohol use counseling. These guidelines aren't bureaucratic red tape. They're built on rigorous science and save lives.

Dismantling the task force would be 'an existential threat to clinical practice,' they said
