My word of the year for 2025 is Hygge (pronounced “hoo-gah”)

This is a Scandinavian word with ties to the word hug. It refers to finding joy in everyday moments and comfort in togetherness.

I cannot think of a better word to celebrate the end of the first quarter of a century and the beginning of my next chapter. It brings in the cozy comfort of coastal and farmhouse design that I adore.

Teaching - it’s been a part of my life in one way or another! Early on, my career found me at PriceWaterHouseCoopers as part of a training team for Open Enrollment, then transitioned to running private yoga classes, and now I’m in the classroom - physically and virtually!

I also have always enjoyed working something on the side.

This past week, along with teaching, I have had so much fun helping others take care of themselves. This ranged from helping someone find a cleanser to help clear their skin, a decadent cream that combats the effects of cold weather,
a luscious scrub for hydrated lips and test drive a sexy new lip color that brightened their smile!

The end result of teaching someone how to take care of themselves, enhance
their glow and highlight their natural beauty always leads to confidence and empowerment. As teachers, isn’t that the goal when we work with others?

LimeLife has helped me learn the importance of what it means to be present, to listen, to exemplify what it means to love who we are right now as we move towards the best version of ourselves.

I’m heading into year 5 with LimeLife. Every day I am thankful as I get closer to the very best version of myself, have fun working a business that lets me be creative, pay off debt, build wealth and teach others to do the same.
