❄️❄️We respectfully ask that you include our FIRST RESPONDERS, LINEMAN, and HEALTHCARE EMPLOYEES in your prayers. They are overwhelmed , but very capable and are working tirelessly for each and everyone of us!

Please pray particularly those working tirelessly at local hospitals- they may be there until Tuesday, even Wednesday . We acknowledge the immense physical and mental demands placed on these individuals, having experienced it firsthand. Additionally, we appreciate your prayers for their loved ones. Thank you. 🙏 ❄️❄️

We are currently experiencing power outages and will respond to after-hours messages as soon as possible. For emergencies, please dial 911 or visit the nearest emergency room if it is safe to drive. (EMERGENT NOT URGENT)

I have yet to see or hear the go ahead to drive anywhere. Please STAY HOME, STAY WARM, and STAY SAFE. If you are able, check on your elderly neighbors.

I will keep you updated as much as possible regarding Tuesday.

Thank you! Heidi

🚩PART 2🚩

👉 It is not the situation that’s making them angry, but the feeling that they are entitled to things from others. They want to control others, and as a result, they have no control over themselves. So when they lose their wished-for control over someone, they “lose it.” They get angry.

The first thing you need to learn is that the person who is angry at you for setting boundaries is the one with the problem. If you do not realize this, you may think you have a problem. Maintaining your boundaries is good for other people; it will help them learn what their families of origin did not teach them: to respect other people.

I have personally read this book numerous times. My patients past and present KNOW how often I recommend it! I even have a printed copy of the book cover ( dust jacket) that I give them so they know what to purchae.

Truth- people have no idea how much mental health we treat in Primary Care! Not just ear aches, high blood pressure, etc.

👉 The most common resistance one gets from the outside is anger. People who get angry at others for setting boundaries have a character problem. Self-centered, they think the world exists for them and their comfort. They see others as extensions of themselves.

When they hear “no,” they have the same reaction a two-year-old has when deprived of something: “Bad Mommy!” They feel as though the one who deprives them of their wishes is “bad,” and they become angry.

They are not righteously angry at a real offense. Nothing has been done “to them” at all. Someone will not do something “for them.” Their wish is being frustrated, and they get angry because they have not learned to delay gratification or to respect others’ freedom (Prov. 19:19).
