Obstacle courses in OT = play with a purpose 💪

They help kids build strength, balance, coordination, body awareness, and motor planning—all while having FUN. From crawling and climbing to jumping and crashing, every step supports independence in daily skills like dressing, handwriting, and playground play.

🐣 Thrive at Home Tip Tuesday 🐣

Having trouble opening those Easter eggs? It actually takes strong little hands and good coordination! Try these simple activities at home:

• Play-Doh fun – Roll, squeeze, and hide small toys inside to dig out

• Squeeze bottles – Use spray bottles in the bath or for outdoor play

• Clothespin games – Clip them onto a basket or make it a color matching game

• Egg practice – Fill plastic eggs and let your child twist, pull, and pop them open

• Sponge squeezes – Soak and squeeze sponges during bath time

These activities help strengthen the small muscles in the hands, making everyday tasks easier!
