The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of nearly 90,000 bottles of children’s ibuprofen oral suspension after reports of contamination with black particles and a gel-like substance inside the bottles. The recall covers specific lot numbers 7261973A and 7261974A (expiration Jan. 31, 2027) of Children’s Ibuprofen Oral Suspension, 100 mg/5 mL distributed nationwide.

• Check your bottle’s lot number — if it matches the recalled ones, stop using it immediately.
• Contact your healthcare provider if your child has taken the recalled medicine.
