Here we GO! 40 Day May Day Challenge is on!
Sunday, March 22, 2026 is 40 days until May 1st! May Day marks the halfway point between spring and summer. Challenge yourself to spring into healthy summer action with this simple exercise.
Sat Kriya, often called the "action of truth," balances the body's energy and strengthens the nervous system. It is an excellent way to tone the navel, massage internal organs, and begin to feel (2nd chakra) and speak (5th chakra) your truths. Beginners start with 3 minutes, resting for an equal amount of time.
How to Practice (3-31 minutes)
Pose: Sit on your heels in Rock Pose, keeping the spine straight.
Mudra: Interlace all fingers except the index fingers (Jupiter fingers), which point straight up. Cross the right thumb over the left for men, left over right for women.
Arms: Stretch the arms straight up, hugging the ears.
Mantra & Motion: Chant "Sat" (rhymes with "but"), pulling the navel in and up, and "Nam" (meaning truth), relaxing the navel.
Focus: Eyes are closed and focused at the brow point (third eye).
Ending: Inhale deeply, hold the breath, and apply Mulbandh (squeeze the a**s, s*x organ, and navel). Exhale, then inhale/exhale again, applying the lock, then relax on your back.
