💜 August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day — a day to remember those we’ve lost, support those who are grieving, and raise awareness about the hope of recovery. At Arise Counseling & Wellness, we stand with our community in breaking the stigma and opening doors to healing through counseling, IOP, and medication management.

🎨✨ At ARISE Counseling & Wellness, we love giving our IOP clients creative ways to process their emotions. This week, we explored emotion painting — using colors, shapes, and textures to express feelings that are sometimes hard to put into words.

Art therapy opens the door for healing in a different way. It’s not about making “perfect” art — it’s about letting what’s inside flow out, then reflecting on it together in a safe space. 💛

We’re so proud of the honesty and courage our clients showed through their artwork today. Healing can be messy, colorful, and beautiful all at once. 🌈

Yesterday, we had the privilege of welcoming Miss Teen Louisiana, Zoe Crenshaw to share her powerful story with our clients. Her platform focuses on addiction, recovery, and the impact it has on families.

Zoe spoke bravely about her own experience growing up with parents who struggled with addiction, offering a deeply personal perspective on how substance use can affect children. Her words were heartfelt, raw, and left a lasting impression on everyone in the room.

By sharing her story, Zoe gave our clients the unique gift of seeing addiction through a child’s eyes—helping them better understand how their own children may have felt, while also inspiring hope and change.

We are incredibly grateful for her time, her light, and the hope she brought to ⬆️Arise today. ❤️
