Welcome to the Practice, Baby Ember! As many of you know, our wonderful Massage Therapist, Brittany Scott, has been on bedrest awaiting her baby girl’s arrival. She was born last Thursday, has been in the NICU, and they are hoping to be able to take her home Saturday or Sunday. Please keep them in your continued prayers! 🫶🏼

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️ JOSIE’S STORY ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Josie is my 10 year old Rescue Dog.
When she was a pup, she was adopted by a childhood friend of mine. Shortly afterward, my friend reached out to me because this dog was a little too rambunctious for her with small kids in the home… and being a shepherd mix, she needed lots of time and space to run free.

So I set out to foster her until we could find her a good home.
A few weeks after that, a young couple who were our next door neighbors at the time, said they wanted her!
But unfortunately, she was also too rambunctious for them- she was a counter-jumper. And got her paws into any and all human meals within seconds of being unattended. (Smart girl, if you ask me!)

So we took her… again.
And even though we were warned… yes, she did eat some of Ike’s prized boudin and raw steaks off the counter while he was out back prepping the grill… and therefore she almost got given away by the hubby for that one 😂

This girl and I just kept circling back to each other.

So, here we are… 10 years later, and I’m totally “not fostering” her!
Josie has become my bestie and my spirit animal! (If you have never seen the Disney movie Coco, go watch it and then come to my house! Josie acts like Dante the dog spirit animal in that movie!)

As some of you may know, our awesome Massage Therapist Brittany Scott is on Bed Rest until her sweet baby arrives! Please pray for safety for her and baby Ember.
We have already been looking for another part-time LMT on Tuesday/Thursdays, but we are currently looking for someone who could do part-time or full-time at Bayou Belle for the next several months. It would be great for someone who does not want the responsibility of having to build their own client base- they would be immediately given clients referred by Dr. Jamie.
