Tomorrow I’m going for my 4th Vipassana retreat in Massachusetts.
This time I am going for an 8-day retreat which one can only participate in after completing three 10-day retreats.
I have no knowledge how different this retreat will be from the ones I went to. But I am mentally ready to embrace it all.
I always smile when calling Vipassana dive a “retreat” - because there is nothing retreat about it. Vipassana meditation is h a r d w o r k. We do it 11 hours per day. This is when you face your mind for what/who it is, no escape, no distractions, no stimulants to run away. No chance to escape from your self. And from meeting your Self eventually. Eventually…🤘
You and your mind, 11 hours - every day.
Sooooo. 👏 I got my yoga blanket ready to cover with inside the cool meditation hall for days to come, my vows ‘to stay silent’ for the duration of the journey are ready to be given.
I will be off grid, completely. No phone, no emails, no talking, not even looking at anyone at the retreat to not disturb the mind even the slightest. My only reality will be MEDITATION ☺️
🤘🤘🤘 I will be back on Oct 25th 🍁 so if you lose me Im deeeeep in meditation)).
The choice of the song 🎵 - “I saved the world today” was stuck in my head for all 10 days of my previous retreat and now it reminds me so much of being at the temple and all the transformations I went through 🤍
