Experience and Exposure Trips:
Year TWO. Same mission. Even greater impact.

We are excited to share that for the second year in a row, Group Violence Intervention/ More Graduations Less Funerals is able to offer FREE Experience & Exposure opportunities for our young people.

These experiences are about so much more than trips, they are moments that allow youth to step outside of their everyday surroundings, see new possibilities, build confidence, and feel what it means to be supported by a community that truly believes in them.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsor for making this possible. Your belief in our youth and your investment in their future helps create opportunities that open doors, expand vision, and plant seeds that will last a lifetime.

โœจ Please note: space is limited. Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. Youth are selected intentionally to ensure safety, growth, and meaningful impact.
๐Ÿ“ Trip dates and locations are subject to change. Families will be notified of any updates.

If you are a parent, guardian, or know a young person between the ages of 8โ€“20 who could benefit from this opportunity, please use the link or QR code to apply.

Congratulations to Our GVI Training Graduates! ๐ŸŽ‰

We are proud to recognize six community members who successfully completed and passed GVI Training on January 7th. By completing this training, they are now eligible to serve as GVI volunteers and officially be part of the GVI team.

This training allows volunteers to:

Attend our weekly Friday GVI meetings

Participate in weekly Custom Notifications

Support additional volunteer opportunities as they arise

All GVI volunteers are required to complete and pass a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance prior to active engagement. This step helps ensure the safety, integrity, and accountability of the work we do together.

Hot Chocolate on the Block, Today!

We know itโ€™s cold outside, but weโ€™re ready to warm you up.

Come join us on the 500 Block of Walnut from 3pmโ€“5pm for hot chocolate, food, giveaways, and good energy.

Weโ€™re out here to show what standing on the block really means, giving out love, not bullets, connection instead of conflict, hope instead of harm.

Every cup we hand out is a reminder of the future weโ€™re building together:
More Graduations, Less Funerals.

Pull up, grab a cup, and feel the love.

Good morning, York City.

Our community has experienced two shootings, one homicide and one nonโ€‘fatal. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to the family affected by this tragic loss.

These incidents will not define our work, diminish what we have accomplished, or deter what we will continue to do. Our team remains on the ground, fully engaged, and responded to both incidents yesterday with the same commitment and urgency we bring every day.

We stand with this community, and we will keep pushing for More Graduations and Less Funerals.

Good evening GVI Family and Friends

๐Ÿ’™ This is how we come together. ๐Ÿ’™

In moments of joy and in moments of loss, our community shows up. The work we do is not easy, but it is necessary. If we truly want more graduations and less funerals, we must move together, learn together, and stand together.

Our 2026 GVI Community Trainings are now open. These trainings are about prevention, accountability, healing, and unity. They are about choosing people, choosing growth, and choosing hope.

The only way we win is together. And if we ever lose, I would rather lose alongside people whose intentions are always to win, for our youth, for our families, and for our community.
