For some, trauma looks like rage. For others, it looks like silence.

Both are ways of screaming what hurts inside.
We don’t always know the story behind the person next to us — the one who explodes or the one who shuts down.

Always remember: every reaction holds a story within.
More empathy. Less judgment.💛
Because we’re all just trying to survive something.

Many times we think that to feel safe, we need to have everything under control.
That if we can control the path, the people, the outcomes — then we’ll be safe.
But we must learn that life doesn’t work that way.
We can’t always control what happens outside, what others do, or what suddenly changes without warning.

What we can do — and what truly gives us power — is choose.
Choose where to go, how to walk, how to respond when things slip out of our hands.

Today I ask you:
🌸 What can you choose, even if you can’t control everything?
🌸 What small choice can you make today that brings you closer to the life you want?
__________________________________________

Is your teen suddenly distant or picking fights?

They might be soiling the nest — a normal (and emotional) part of getting ready to leave home.

It’s messy, but it’s growth💛

ADHD and perfectionism can trap us in a cycle that feels exhausting and never-ending.

You want to do your best — but your brain makes it hard to even get started.

You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re doing your best with a nervous system that needs compassion, not criticism.

✨ You don’t have to untangle it alone.
💬 Let’s talk about it.

Sometimes, without even realizing it, we look to external things — relationships, achievements, even the idea of becoming a parent — to fill a void that’s rooted much deeper.

The truth is: loneliness is not just about being alone. It’s about feeling disconnected — from ourselves, our needs, our worth.

Bringing a child into the world is a profound, life-altering experience. But a baby isn’t meant to be an emotional crutch or a solution to past wounds. Babies need us to be emotionally available, attuned, and grounded — not hoping they’ll meet needs we haven’t met in ourselves yet.

🤍 Healing starts within.
Before we seek to care for others, we have to care for the parts of us that feel unloved, abandoned, or unseen. That’s the work — and it’s beautiful, brave, and absolutely worth it.

📩 Therapy can be a safe space to explore what you're holding, and begin to build a deeper, more compassionate connection with yourself.

A few weeks ago, I posted about healthy ways to boost your dopamine.

This time, I want to show you the other side of the coin: 5 unhealthy paths people, especially those of us with ADHD, chase that feel-good hit to get a dopamine high.

Let’s talk about it, name the traps, and get intentional before we end up stress-shopping at 2am again!

Peace doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes, it’s quiet. Subtle.
It shows up in how you breathe through uncertainty,
how you choose compassion over control,
and the gentleness you offer yourself when things feel hard.

You’re not chasing perfection,
you’re learning to live in alignment,
to soften, to release, to trust.

🌿 This is what healing can look like.

You know your child, but sometimes you wonder whether you’re witnessing growing pains or something more serious?

If something feels off, trust your instincts!

When in doubt, choose respect. 💫
Because while love is beautiful, respect is essential.

Let’s remind ourselves—and teach our kids—that love without respect isn't love at all. 🌸

Si alguna vez tienes que elegir, elige el respeto. ✨
El amor es un regalo, pero el respeto es un derecho.

Recordémoslo y enseñémoslo: el amor sin respeto no es amor. 🌷
